Decent price for premium men's beauty product. I highly recommend considering the L'Oréal Paris Men Expert Hydra Energetic Cool Eye Roll-On and Hydra Energetic Wake Up Face Wash for Men, with Vitamin C and Guarana as both smell great and hydrate the skin well. The eye roll on is great for reducing bags under your eyes, but it is also very cool once applied, giving you a nice refreshed skin

I bought your recommendation, OP. Cheers.

    Ditto OP, thanks

    +1.
I've been using Hydra Energetic Wake Up Face Wash + Hydra Energetic Moisturiser for a decade.

    • Does it all actually work? Or just placebo?

      • +3

Yes. The skincare industry is based on science as much as any other.

Every man needs to have at least the basics as a daily routine - clean your face with stuff followed by moisturise your face with stuff. If you are going outside - use a quality suncream.

Of course, true aussie style, you can say FO to that. But you must then accept the negatives. At these prices you are probably looking at $10 per 2-3 months for the cleanser+moisturiser. Coffees being $5 or so… sort of a no brainer.

Does the answer matter? If it is placebo they think it will work so they'll say yes.

Weird that they took the time and effort to say +1 but not actually + lol

        • Weirder IMO that you peruse vote lists for accuracy

          • @Martyroz: I am genuinely curious since you appear to be a big fan of the product, can you get it elsewhere for cheaper? An issue with Amazon?

            • +2

@CodeXD: I'm a fan of the products. Not so much the deal (quite freqently half price at Coles and Woolies).

Every time I get my skin cancer skin check they tell me to moisturize more and go on about dry skin, so there must be something useful in it, they don't sell anything so nothing in it for them to recommend

      • They are tested by professionals and must be able to back up their claims or suffer. I've posted a comment I wrote for someone below, but they do use active ingredients and you can google these and see how these work / what they have been proven to do. The question I replied to was "how exactly does a cream reduce bags under your eyes", so this is relevent.

"It works the increasing skin hydration, which is turn causes the skin to tighten. Many products also contain either collagen or elastin, which have the same skin tightening effect. Ingredients such as Vit C / caffeine also help this process, but more so reduce the darkness around the eyes that people get."

        • It’s not true that they have to back up their claim. Only drug claims have to be backed up. Cosmetic claims are not regulated - at all.

    Thanks OP, grabbed a few.

cannot begin to imagine the fun my old Platoon Sergeant from the Army would have had with any Digger caught ordering this.

I'm rocking both of OPs recommendations for daily use along with the moisturiser.

Sometimes I couldn't be arsed with the moisturiser, so just use the eye roller.
For the mornings when the eyelids are puffy from liquid retention it helps make them feel less gross.

I recall seeing these at half price at woolies but that ends tomorrow (Tuesday).

Seeing this post has reminded me to (re)apply a healthy amount of sunscreen and moisturiser on.
Thanks OP! I use the Hydra Energetic Moisturiser - very pleasant smell and either my skin has gotten used to it over the years, or it actually is acceptable for sensitive skin.
    Either way, it's my daily

Another way to reduce bags under your eyes is sleep and less stress. If you can get any of these then good luck, else for this money I guess it's worth a try in addition to wearing a hat and use sunscreen this summer.

    Not enough people wear hats.
