Diesel Men's Larkee Jeans ~$41 (30R) Shipped from The Hut

340

What you need to know:
- ONLY size 30R (30×32) left for the 'Blue Light Wash' ($41) [size 34R has been sold out, thanks onlyme]
- 'Blue Dark Wash' ($49) [thanks Third_Gear] seems to be sold out already.
- Larkee style, which is a straight leg cut.

Honestly I'm a little apprehensive about posting this, especially after the whole Alexander McQueen t-shirt fiasco. But coming back from David Jones and their $135 after-discount Diesels, i thought $41 was worth a gamble. Besides, it's not like The Hut is going to run away with your cash. At least i think they wouldn't. Lol.

Anyway, the David Jones pair i tried were also Larkee style, but the leather patch was different. Fitting wise, it's surprisingly true-to-size. But don't take my word for it as i don't have that many pairs of Diesels.

Take it or leave it, your choice. If you can't fit into 30s, go on a diet. If you can't fit into 34s, stop trying to squeeze into jeans and go for sweats. Nahh i'm just kidding. ;)

Actually wearing a pair right now. Normally a 32 but a 31 in this and paid a lot more.

      • +8

        It's because they're worth it.

      • you need to get out more mate! I've noticed more and more guys out there wearing expensive jeans. Honestly I would say the stereotypical-gay-guy-wearing-only-designer-gear is dead and buried. I'm genuinely curious tho. What kind of reputable jeans sells at $35? Excluding the occasional sale, of course /cough/$25hugobossjeans/cough/. Even Levi's, which is like everyone's standard go-to jeans retails for more than $35.

Because they look good and fit better, not to mention usually higher threat count so they last longer. …plus I have a better chance of getting laid.

  • Bait took, nice find :)

  • Bought a pair when they were last on sale, though got lucky with a 32. They are significantly more "worn" (fashionably torn) than they appear in the photos. Real shame as they are a fantastic fit, but I can't bring myself to wear them-returns policy requires shipping back at customers expense from memory. On the other hand if torn jeans floats your boat go right ahead…

    • can you post a pic?? I like a small distressing, but nothing too extreme.

well sell them then! If you've bought it at $41 as well, you stand to make a very handsome profit. Have a look around ebay- the cheapest larkee is waaay higher than $41.

  • what's R stand for after the 30?

    • +5

I don't really know, but years of ebay and online shopping has led me to believe it stands for regular. Which means length = 32 cm. If it's L, the length is usually 34 cm, and S = 30 cm.

      • Length (inches, not cm)
Stout (Short, Stocky - you choose), Regular or Long.

        • +1

yeahhh you're right! I knew it was inches at the back of my head but typed out 'cm' instead. Haha i guess that's what happens when you get too used to the metric system. ;)

These were 19.99 pound yesterday afternoon..

  • are these made in italy?

    • +2

tunisia, i believe. But then again, don't think just because a pair of jeans has the 'made in italy' tag, it is actually made in italy. Since there are no strict regulations in the clothing industry, the cloth could be produced in china, stitched in indonesia and sent to italy for 'assembly' (where the micro-stitch is sewed on and 'inspected' i suppose) and there would be nothing wrong with labelling it as 'made in italy'.

      • Nudies are completely made in Italy just for interests sake.

        • Turkish, Italian and Japanese denim are considered some of the best in the world. If you own a pair of their jeans you get a booklet which tells you about their processes and it states everything is stiched, constructed and made in Italy. But yes you're right the denim may have been made outside Italy depending on the denim used for each style.

    • yes :)

  • There is 36, of 55DSL Men's Parkye Jeans - Dark Wash - 36 Dark Wash, if anyone interested, 20quid

  • Silly question, does thehut.com have good reputation, as asos.com?
I couldn't resist the temptataion since Diesel Larkee 30 is the only size I am sure I can fit in.

Hopefully it'll get delivered in half a month. fingers crossed.

  • I have a fake version of these :)

    • hmm. pretty sure this was not listed yesterday. thanks!

  • there are some other good deals on if you have a look around. I ended up buying some 55dsl jeans for under 10 bucks shipped

Good price, but for anyone who has not tried this model before, the Larkee is a very fat and unflattering fit.

    • mm it depends. It's a straight leg, so it's definitely not as flattering as skinnies. It's something like bootcut, except it doesn't flare out below the knees. If you have a slim waist, this (or any other cut besides skinnies for that matter) is not for you. IMO straight jeans are more suited for athletic guys with wider waists.

  • hows the shipping on these?

    • LESS THAN 2 EURO FLAT SHIPPING TO AUSTRALIA.

    • price-wise, £0.99 (~AU$1.60) to australia. That's practically free, considering the item is shipped from the uk. Time-wise, varies from a week till never. But generally within a month.

  • these fit so well!

Personally I'm fed up with thehut and zavvi cancelling my orders.

  • +3

the hut cancelled my order.. again..

  • they cancelled my order!!!

  • the hut is hopeless, never order clothing deals because almost guaranteed they will cancel..

  • Ordered 5 items and 5 days later 3 orders cancelled and 2 have been dispatched apparently. Disappointed.
Read the reviews as most people seem to be complaining about the same issues
    http://www.hotukdeals.com/reviews/thehut.com

  • Ordered the jeans & 3 jackets, thought it was a good deal. Receive an email to say that they cancelled the whole order because the product was no longer available, but yet they still advertise those jackets on their web site, WTF! Got a 10% discount code, so will give it one more try….

    • i checked my credit card transaction, apparently it has been charged for the jeans. does it guarantee that they will dispatch it to me?

  • both my orders were cancelled. what a joke

    • received an email just now, my order was dispatched.

      • same here … thanks thehut.com

  • I made an order for £90 and used a free international delivery code that can be used for orders £50 (INTD) and above. They cancelled most of my order and sent me only 1 item of £15.00 and charged me £1 for delivery. Are they suppose to charge me delivery fee if my original order was £90 and they cancelled some items due to them being out of stock. Any suggestions!!!

  • ordered ten different items, including these jeans and jumper (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/72231), on 10th June

received email on 16th confirming all dispatched

    • delivered today 27th june: nine correctly, one wrong colour, but as that cost <$10, i can't be bothered going to the trouble of complaining internationally

      • how do the jeans fit?

        • they fit me well - i generally only wear straight leg cuts and have had similar diesel jeans before

  • Do they give a tracking number for the order?

    • you get a pat on the back with your order =)

  • these are made in italy … wooo

i would have bought another one if i knew

  • its back on.. 2 sizes available for 34R and 34L for light and dark blue
