Using an old toothbrush vs this is very different in the cleaning quality. I have these brushes and use them regularly to clean my sink and the difference is visible. Old bristles cannot clean well, especially for gunk built up within the slim ring around the sink drain.

I think these are bit over rated
The large brush is good, the bristles are stronger and harder then a toothbrush. I use it for grout and removing dirt around tap fixtures. The small one is pretty useless (in my opinion) it's like a small toothbrush, bristles too fine to be useful for the jobs I tried it with
These work really well on escooter suspension compared to the soft bristles of a toothbrush. Mud and water leads to squeeky suspension.
