there ought to be a warning label on these listings.

there's a new idea for Ozbargain Devs…. a Blacklist feature, where you can put in keywords, kept in your profile, so we don't see listings with those keywords.

Just one more. What harm could it do?

You should buy it, then argue that she spends money on x and therefore it's fine.

Then you'll have no more missus, problem solved.

  • Is this set the same size and the Lego Modular’s ?

How do you guys deal with the dust collecting on LEGO?

    • +2

      Air tight rooms.

      I think most people either:

      • Display cabinets
      • Let it display and capture dust
      • Use compressed air cans and spray it every week
      • I have glass cabinets and it still gets dusty as they are not sealed

You can buy plastic housing for the Lego sets these days but they are $$$ per piece

There was a rumour about 3 years ago of an Ikea/Lego collab for display cases but nothing has come to fruition yet.

      • It’s disappointing to date the only thing released is the stupid white boxes, if that was it then that’s a true waste of a collaboration.

I still don’t understand why ikea hasn’t ventured into big display cases as well. It would sell like hot cakes and it’s not just for lego collectors, pop collectors, die cast collectors and figurines etc

    • I dust them every 6 months with a small paint brush. I guess it’s the same with any decoration on display, you’d need some sort of feather duster. I can’t afford cans of air.

    • I can't recall where I read it, it might have been on OzB or on reddit or whatever, someone mentioned that he/she buys them, unboxes and unbags very carefully, builds them, then takes them apart again - and is then able to resell them at close or even more than what they paid for.

So if the main goal is building them, that seems like a reasonable way to do it and not have to think of storage or displaying and keeping them clean.

  • All gone :(
