Vitasoy Oat Milky is the good shit. Dollar thirty is a (profanity) steal

    • Not sure if it's the good shit… But it might be da goo shiiiiiii. Per say

      • -4

Uncle Tobys oat milk shits all over vitasoys

        • +2

Oat Milky is relatively new and is a lot better than Vitasoy normal, their Soy Milky is decent as well.

        • HAHAHAHA

          No

        • i concur

Per se*. It's Latin and means roughly "in and of itself"
Sorry but this is one of my pet hates lol

        • +1

What does the cat say? Purr!

    • It's definitely the tastiest, though So Good packs in a lot of stuff like B12/Calcium/Vit D which makes me feel a bit guilty drinking Milky without now. Makes for a kick-ass iced coffee though.

  • +1

Has anyone tried steaming/frothing Oat Milky? I usually use Oatly Barista but this is a steal, especially if it works in my coffee

    • +2

My roommate exclusively uses this for their monring coffee so it must be good

      • For the price point I think it is the best out there at 1.35 it’s a steal.

    • +3

Yep, use it in my automatic coffee machine every day. It’s the best oat milk in my opinion

    • Yeah, froth this milk with steam wand and works a charm. Haven't tried Oatly Barista though to compare

    • +2

Haven’t tried Milky, only Unsweetened, but it’s waaay nicer frothed in a coffee than Oatly, and that’s before factoring in the price difference!

  • I’ve had Oat milk and almond milk, oat milk was mildly drinkable raw, almond wasn’t, both just made tea depressing

    • +2

Did you warm the milk first? Plant based milks, almond milk in particular will split if you add it cold to a hot (especially acidic) liquid and that'll definitely ruin your tea.

There's probably other workarounds you can google to stop this happening.

Thanks for the tip. I drink a lot of them but never really thought they worked in hot drinks, but that might be the reason why.

    • Yeah tea and coffee really need actual milk in my opinion, but I’m not lactose intolerant too.

      • Honestly using lactose free milk for tea is definitely easier but I'm not gonna have 2-3 milks open at the same time

    • For tea, I think cow's milk actually changes the taste (tannin/bitterness) a little to make it nicer.

But oat milk will still make it creamy if you just wanted texture.

It annoys me because I only need 1-3tsp of milk, but it makes a big difference to how enjoyable the tea is. Or maybe I should learn to enjoy it straight.

  • Where is almond milky on amazon?

    • +4

Not all have been price matched yet, only the unsweetened almond milk atm

I’m monitoring it on Amazon, and will update it as soon as I see they have dropped their price

      • I don't think there is even a listing for almond milky for some reason, though. Unless I can't find it

  • +1

This is a great price, even though I have quite a backlog to work through (thanks Amazon) I might still buy an Oat milky.

  • Great to stack with my 25% Flybuys deal

  • Maximum quantity for almond on Amazon is 6 :(

    • Same as coles if they do actually restrict you

Difference between Oat Milky and regular oat milk?

People saying oat milky is better but it's also slightly cheaper?

    • +2

Oat Milky is a little sweeter than the unsweetened one. It's not that notable honestly.

  • Not as good as Amazon Warehouse prices ;)

  • I wonder why milk soy unsweetened it’s never in discount or hard to find it.

    • +1

Prob supply chain issues. Hard to imagine a company named “Vitasoy” would not want to sell soy products.

  • -4

needs to be 90% off for me to even consider this sh*t!

  • What is the difference between the Oat Milky and Unsweetened versions? The 'Milky' version has 60 less Kj which is counterintuitive, i thought the unsweetened would be less kj.

oat milky is $1.35 at woolies this week
