Samsung 32GB MICROSD CLASS 10 $29.95 + $1 Shipping

300

I found this on my junk mail, the deal is the same as previously posted here but it's expired. The review I read from this website stating that the benchmark is pretty good for class 10. Apparently this micro-sd also shock proof, water proof and magnet proof(care to try?).

Cheapest I found on ebay is $35 shipped for buy it now.

I probably won't buy it because I prefer sandisk 64GB micro sd that apparently worked with Galaxy note

Why the hell would an SD card need to be waterproof or shockproof? Pretty moot considering most phones aren't waterproof and their screens will crack when dropped from more than 2 meters.

    • dunno, but they don't (or at least i think they don't) charge a premium for the features so i'm not complaining :)

maybe its just easy for them to make it water and shock proof as part of their manufacturing process, or purely just because it is a solid state storage medium (shocks don't affect it, water doesn't damage it if there's no charge)

files or contents in the card are more important than the phones or devices to some people.

    • I'm going to put mine into my GoPro and like the idea that it's shockproof.

  • i just bought one from ebay last week to use in a tablet (when i get it) for about $35 like OP said. might get another to use in my phone :)

  • Are these faster than the Sandisk class 10s?

This says max read 24MB/s. Class 10 'guarentees' min 10MB/s. Sandisk ones typically come in 30MB/s 45MB/s and 95MB/s. The REAL question is how fast can your device talk to the card. My D7000 Nikon Camera max writes at about 9MB/s and Video writes about 3MB/s. Now to be confusing, depending on the filesize being written the actual speed of the card varies. The improvement on my camera max's out about the 45MB/s cards. So I could pay twice the price for a 95MB/s but I would get minimal if any improvement. - Sorry to get so technical… Short answer, it is a little slower than the cheapest class 10 Sandisk, but your device might not be able to handle extra speed anyway - time to google your device speeds.

      • Oh hang about they do have 15MB/s Sandisks. This should be faster than those. If price is similar I would go Sandisk every time.

Are you comparing them to Sandisk SDs, or MicroSDs? It wouldn't be fair to compare them to SDs since those are naturally faster.

I don't know of any Sandisk MicroSDs that read at 45MB/s or 95MB/s. Those are their SD speeds.

  • Similar performance to Sandisk Class 6 according to the link and slightly cheaper than what you can get them for.

Bought one with the previous deal, came reasonably quickly in original samsung blister pack. Working very well so far.

    • Askjeebs, do they send out a single card pack in the normal mail or do you have to sign for it?
Incidentally, Samsung made an announcement a few days ago that because of the worldwide crash in flash media prices that they are only going to sell their memory cards to large mainstream retailers. Hence, this may be the last deal on Samsung cards from the likes of Shoppingsquare…

      • Mine came in an A5-ish envelope with just the blister pack inside. I wasn't at home at the time and the person who bought it inside is a bit hazy (could've been in the mailbox, shoved inbetween fenceposts or on our doorstep) but definitely no signature required.

  • Bought one, this will replace my class 4 32gb in my HTC Sensation

I've got a couple of these. They do write at around the 10Mbs mark. Read is around 18-20Mbs

Pretty happy with it. The price has dropped by 50% since I bought mine last nov.

Fingers crossed they bring some decently priced 64GB cards out soon.

    • I also have one of these.
Copying video files to the card, I manage to achieve ~14-15MB/s writes.
      Reads are ~18MB/s.

    • edit: Samsung 32gb microsd arrived today 3/7/2012.. finally!
