Affordable (but Reliable) Headset for WFH

Hi,

My current headset (for tutoring) is on the way out so I am looking for another set before these die entirely. The main requirement is that they have to have a USB at the end as this is what work requires if anyone has any recommendations for under $100 (if I have to go slightly higher, I will, but I prefer not to).

Thank you in advance!

Would a dongle/adapter solve this problem? A 3.5mm to USB A adapter of some kind? Would open up a lot more possibilities.

This is sold out, but you can get affordable headsets like that

  • as this is what work requires

Sounds like they should be providing them if they have requirements…

    Platronics

  • If you only need these for calls/audio, why not just get a Bluetooth set? I use a pair of Soundpeats Mini Pro (~$50) which works great for these purposes and more.

  • Logitech

  • What's the difference between WFH (Work From Home) and WFW (Work From Work)?

    • WHS. If an employee got injured at home, the onus is on the employee to prove that they followed all the guidelines.

      • My question was in relation to OPs wording of the original post.
        'Affordable headset for WFH'.
Would there be a different brand/model for Working From Work.
Maybe a different brand/model working from home?
I suppose there could be if you use a TIPT phone at work but not at home.
Just take your headset from work, home, maybe.

Good point though in relation to WHS, must look into that.
What if you don't tell work you are working from home.
Where does that stand with WHS?
Another thread required for that one.

  • We all have these headsets in our workplace for using with MS Teams and they work well - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/114690609659

$40 plus delivery. They also have other model variants with different USB connectors, as well single/double headsets.

The ones we have in the office have a USB-A connector on them, but I decided to purchase a 2nd headset with a USB-C connector (the one linked above) to keep at home as well.

  • I was surprised by how fantastic the Cloud Hyper X headset (various models) was for the price. I'm mostly suggesting this headset because you can get value out of using it for gaming and music too.

It's comfortable, fully encloses the ears for decent noise isolation, has decent sound, is great value and has a few other interesting features.
