I just need some normal brand like belkin.
By the way where is Afterbottom?

      Afterbottom is aftertop

  • Can this one charge the Surface Book 2?
I am using 87W macbook pro charger but limited charging.

  • With exclusive AC power cord, wall charging or desktop charging, convert at will

The real charging magic happens inside this exclusive AC power cord. But just when you begin to be amazed, the ability to convert at will raises the bar to astonishment and awe

  • is this reliable brand? no reviews

    • It's not a brand. Some random person bought a batch of them from an OEM. It's a lucky dip how long it will last.

      • I’d be more worried about whether it’s going to burn down someone’s house.

  • from a quick search I couldn't find any review of this product or this company…….

    no reviews for 3 months

Amazon says first available date was june

Looks to be this one? this link has 2 reviews if that helps anyone at all ;s

  • Wouldn't mind a picture of the Au plug section, to see if its a dodgy afterthought or not, seeing all the promo pics are us.

    • So hard to know what to get. Need one and happy to pay but yeah you never know quality. Spent too long researching and never push ahead because always something like the plug, or meeting Australian specs. Just want the most powerful out there, best quality, want to go overseas and charge multiple things simultaneously such as iPads, multiple S22 Ultras, kids Nintendo Switch OLED, etc, Any advice gratefully accepted.

You should be fine with something from Anker, pretty sure they are all dual voltage too (100-240).

I think at the moment, the fastest single charging PD 3.1 charger with an Australian plug, that isn't a gamble like this, would sadly be the $149 140w macbook charger.

As @lulzenberg said, the safest bet for high wattage charger is

        Apple 140W USB-C Power Adapter, but 1 USB-C only.

Anker is also good, but is not available in Aussie market yet, 1 USB-C as well

        Amker 717 Charger

Other options are get a better known third party multi-port charger, like

Baseus GaN⁵ Pro 140W Fast Charger, 2 USB-C + 1 USB-A ports, but only available in US or EU plug, no AU plug.

Then, we're only left with only a few options, the one in this post, with 2 USB-C + 1 USB-A, and AU plug,
Awei 140W GaN Charger, has 2 USB-C ports, and with AU plug
Zyron PowerPod 140, which has 3 USB-C ports and with an AU plug

We will post a pre-order sale for our Powerpod 140 on Thursday (8 Aug) for a far lower price :) Dispatch ETA between 5th to 10th October. Cheers

But, I'll rather get an Apple 140W charger, if I've a MacBook Pro. Plus, a Satechi 165W 4 USB-C ports charger for the remaining devices.

        • Wow. Thanks so much @O O
An absolutely outstanding answer. I am unbelievably grateful.

Yes one port would be annoying. As I make my way down your list it almost seems like your Satechi might suit me best. I do see it on eBay for around $175.

Thrilled with level of detail in your response. So well thought out.im going to take your advice

    • Follows @lulzenberg's link, the aussie plug has insulated pins.

  • Would this work if I used a type-C to laptop barrel jack adapter and tried to charge a laptop say 120W into it's normal barrel jack?
I currently use a 130W charger to do exactly this, but it has max 90W available on one port, but it does allow conversion to barrel jack and charging a laptop at 20V which is it's highest output voltage. Maybe if you tried on this it would try to put 28V default to it due to no protocol match which probably wouldn't turn out great.

    • No protocol match just gets you basic 5v USB charging.

Assuming you're getting 90W through the 20v mode, then a charger like this won't help you - it'll still supply the same 20v mode if that's what your barrel adaptor is asking for.
      I don't think there is a 130w 20v mode - USB C supplies 130w via the 28v mode which you can't use to charge a 20v laptop…
