why be in a forum if you get salty at someone asking questions

      • +1

Have you not read other forum posts? Majority of replies rarely are a response to the topic of the OP

        • so monkey see monkey do? It has to stop at some point, well not really if you realistically think - there's always a people who represents something but hey least dont support them

  • Give them a call and ask how to contact the concierge.

Call our Customer Support Team anytime, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • It says:
Concierge is a complimentary service available to the Primary Cardholder of a Coles Platinum credit card. Refer to the Coles Mastercard Rewards Terms and Conditions. Concierge Services are provided by Aspire Lifestyles (Americas), Inc.

Aspire Lifestyles who according to the Coles website provide the service list the contact details of their regional office as:

    Aspire Lifestyles Australia
Level 4, Building B, Pinnacle Office Park 4 Drake Avenue Macquarie Park NSW 2113
    [email protected]

International SOS which seems to be part of the same group of companies lists their local contact number for "medical and security assistance" as (02) 9372 2468

Mastercard list 1800 120 113 for "benefit inquiries"

Personally, I doubt they provide the sort of deals someone who is aware of OzBargain can find and I would assume they try to steer you to products/services which provide them with some kickback. They might be useful for places where you don't speak the language.

I've never tried credit card concierge services or for that matter the similar service offered by some credit cards to find you the best deal for a product so I'd be interested to learn of your experience.

It's a token service that will offer you free advice and expensive options for purchases that they receive kickbacks from.

It's a completely pointless service that was only relevant to 1980's millionaires in major international cities.

    • I reckon it may be worth asking the service for their suggested options if you're short of one but I wouldn't get them to book anything for you unless it perhaps it requires a conversation in a foreign language.

If the OP posts the correct details, I for one would be interested in knowing just what answers the concierge comes up to questions we already know the best answer for and the markup. Presumably, they hang up straight away, if your question contains any synonym for "cheap."

      • They will have someone polite in a call centre whacking your questions into google. Nothing more.

        • Useful for my friend that can't type and finds computers difficult then. Anyway, Aspire Lifestyles has offices around the world wide so they might pass queries onto branches that might be better equipped to answer other questions. Most times I suppose better answers would be found on OzBargain but if it costs you bugger all to call worth a try. I certainly have low expectations given whatever Citibank is likely to pay for it - if they do indeed pay rather than getting a kickback themselves.

  • Applying for this card has been a joke. Between call centre staff sending sms with a deadlink and asking for the same information you just sent them.

      Citibank is hopeless.

      • It's been NAB since 1st of June.

        • NAB may have the helm and replaced the senior officers but the ship and most of the crew would still be the same. I assume they'll be sticking with the same crew until they launch the ship being built sometime next year. Citibank make Latitude look good.

  • These can be useful for things where you don't care about price and you don't need it immediately.

Tested the Visa concierge for a rental car in NZ. I asked for best price for a type of car, they quoted Hertz/Europcar, who were double the price of Apex.
Tested them for a booking at a restaurant. I didn't hear back from them for more than half an hour. I was worried I wont be able to get a table that night if I wait any longer, so I booked it myself. Half an hour later I got an email from concierge asking if I've already booked.

Could also be handy for things were there's a long waiting time on the phone. Though the only time where there's a long waiting time for me are for sensitive things like Banking, Medicare etc, so can't use them.

    • So I can forget about those hard to get theatre tickets or jumping the waiting list in restaurants? Damn you Hollywood. Next you'll tell me the best price service that some cards used to be offer (do they still?) don't get you the lowest price.
