What kind of deal would entice you to eat breakfast in Darling Harbour

I'm thinking of putting up a breakfast deal for a restaurant in darling harbour.

here is the idea: i put up a good deal for ozbargainers, ozbargainers turn up and make the restaurant look busy.

therefore more walk-ins

It is a Mediterranean restaurant

What would entice you to go to darling harbour for breakfast? be it one of these items at a good price? or a free coffee included with the purchase?

Comments

  • (if required - without going into detail) What type of restaurant? how much usually per head? what does this resturant specialize in?

  • Ozbargainers turn up everyone else runs for the hills…. i guess if we are wearing the shirts no one will recognise us lol

  • Mmm sounds nice. It'd have to be a good price, like breakfast for 2 for 19 or so. I think I went to Baia when they had a deal like that for breakfast.

Plus if you had all day breakfast that would help too! I'm too lazy to get up early for some of those cutoff times.

    • thats a great idea. i'll take it onboard. what was included with that breakfast?

price isn't the only limiting factor here. i could possibly do freebies with purchase or discounted coffee or even just a discount off the menu in general

      thanks for the idea though

re: all day breakfast. our breakfast is till 12

  • OP is a Rep for Spanish Terrazas on 541 Kent Street Sydney, NSW 2000
is that the restaurant referred on this deal?

    • i am a rep for spanish terrazas however this deal is for another restaurant

I'm just getting a feel for what would entice people to go to darling harbour

    • I'm not sure if you're aware Blugok, but 541 Kent Street is not in Darling Harder! :p

  • +1

    Include free flights to Sydney?

I support the all day/late breakfast comments though (though perhaps the purpose is to get customers earlier in the day).

  • Free return flight from Canberra?

    • +4

why would you want to return to canberra

      • Because I'd be visiting Sydney. Smog. Traffic. Rude people. Annoying politicians.

        • +2

There are other types of politicians?

        • Have you seen the ones they have in NSW? And the ones they send to Canberra?

  • I'll come and make you look busy

    How's August 26th for you?

If you were cheap enough and I was in the area I would come, but your menu sounds pretty standard, so unless its really awesome I would not necessarily be back
Take a look at something like

    http://www.taste.com.au/recipes/collections/breakfast+recipe…

That Bircher muesli with rhubarb and sweet dukkah looks tasty!

And learn to bake your own baked beans, I would love to see that on a menu

  • There is not one thing on that menu that would entice me to come.

A free or discounted coffee would not entice me, at all. What you would probably want is to do a really cheap brekkie and not include a drink. Peeps would have an opportunity to add one at full price.

Why not have a special menu instead of this boring standard one?

There is a type of eggs dish that is cooked with a slurry of cooked down tomatoes and capsicums. You cook it down, then break an egg into a depression and lightly cook it. People will pay more for special things and, in this case, actually travel, to get the special stuff. A field mushroom tart tatin or the like.

Even crepes, with exotic fillings, would be an improvement.

The only thing that would get me into this restaurant, with this average food selection, is free unlimited sparkling wine. I'd prefer the option of having it mixed with OJ, in case the wine you served was crap.
