Ripping price for the Amarants - generally these sell for around the $200 mark (sometimes a fair bit more). The Lily XLs @$169 and the regular Lily extensions ($84.95) and a bunch of other Hue stuff is also on sale, price is not quite as outstanding for those.

Yeah I ended up with a bunch of the small ones when Bunnings accidentally listed the Calla starter kits for $50. I'm sure there are others in the same boat. If I was buying one though, I'd go the bigger one.

  • Awesome Price thanks OP

Great price on the Go 2.0 as well

    • It's a good price - I have yet to take work out a good use case for the Go. Anyone got one?

As they say, when you’ve gotta Go, you’ve gotta go. So, grab your Go and get the job done. Just remember to wash your hands before you Go back

I find the Go's utility quite limited for use without a power plug. It might be useful in a pinch but the battery only gives you maybe 90min on white light, though longer if you have it dimmed or use colours. I also found that if you have it connected to a Hue Bridge, the battery will drain in a matter of hours when the light is on standby, which seems excessive.

So your options are to keep the Go powered off, in which case you have to physically turn it on, or keep it plugged in to be able to actually work as a smart light.

      • put one next to the sofa for ambience lighting

        • Ditto

Stick 'em in corners or behind stuff for effect.

And, if you have a power outage, you're good to GO

  • Damn, I'm balls deep in my Hue setup at the moment. Can't see a use for this yet. Would just one of these illuminate an outside stairway with about 12 steps?

      That’s nuts

    • Opportunity may have passed but these have about 1400 lumens from memory so very good output.

Their base use case is providing wall wash lighting. I intend to use mine to light up a shed though until I can get it properly rewired.

    • What’s the difference between the smart button and my older hue dimmer switch?

      • I think it's a more compact version of the dimmer?

      • +1

old dimmer is 4 separate programmable buttons. i use that for toggle on/off for 4 different lights.

Showing as $235 for me (-6% off RRP: $249.95), is this already gone?

    • Same for me

  • Expired. RIP, Philips Hues.
