Best Phone with 3.5mm Headphone AUX Jack?

Time for me to upgrade but need to keep the 3.5mm

What is the best phone that still rocks a 3.5mm headphone AUX jack ?

I'm thinking the s10 5g.
I know the pixel 5a galaxy A52 are strong contenders but lack wireless charging.

The Asus ROG phone look interesting? not sure on their other qualities.

Would love your opinion!

And yes I know the 3.5mm-USB-C exist. It's not an option to carry one everywhere with me. Needs a dedicated port.

GSM Arena has phone finder where you can choose the specs you want, and it will spit out all the phones that meet criteria.

how do i know this site can be trusted? i thought i can only trust askbargain?

    • What about USB C to 3.5mm?

      • My Lenovo chromebook comes with a usb-c to 3.5mm, and it’s broken like 4-5 times. It’ll just stop working. Luckily Lenovo just sends me a new one, but after the 4th time it happened, I went and bought an Apple one and it’s been going strong for a couple of years now

      • I think from memory the Google & Samsung ones work across android, apple and windows whilst the Apple one works amazing on apple devices, fine on windows, but poorly on Android (low volume output).

I ended up going with the Google one and use with my pixel 6, ipad air 4 and Lenovo win10 laptop without any problems.

I WILL NOT BUY THE DONGLE!!!!
I WILL NOT SYNC THE AIRPODS!!!!
YOU WILL NEVER TAKE ME ALIVE!!!!

  • First gen iPhone SE holds up really well. Some people will inevitably say you shouldn’t because it isn’t getting iOS 16, but that literally makes no difference.

The Pixel 3A is also nice, solid hardware but is being depreciated by Google, you may need to chuck a degoogled rom like Calyx on there.

  • You can also just get a usb-c to 3.5mm adapter.

  • Xperia 1 iv

    • Sony doesn't sell phones in aus any more so there'd be no warranty?

  • S10 or Lg v30+

    • Was gonna say, the note 10 doesn't have a headphone jack. lol

  • ROG phone 6 would be the way to go for a buy and keep for 4 years since it's the newest. it ticks a lot of boxes but only ipx4 rated and costs a fortune

    Here's a couple contenders:
    (in no particular order)

1- Sony Xperia 5 mk IV
The best flagship device on the market. Expensive. No Warranty. Worth getting if you find yourself overseas and its on sale. Not worth considering the previous models tbh.
    2- ASUS ZenFone 9
The latest and greatest from ASUS. Sold locally. Releasing soon, and it will be expensive.
    3- Samsung A52-S
It has flagship specs, lacks few things. Comes with 3-year warranty and software support, locally in Aus. Priced great, but is getting hard to find.
    4- Samsung S10+
An ex-flagship that still isn't obsolete. Pairs best with the Razer JungleCat to give you the best gaming experience where you can take it anywhere (fits into jeans/pockets).
    5- ASUS ROG 6
Yes, older versions are worth considering. Just know it's huge, heavy, fragile, expensive. Basically have to import. And the camera is close to poop.
6- Sony Xperia 1 mk IV
Similar to the Sony 5, only larger in size and price. Not worth considering the older versions tbh.
    7- ASUS Flip (Zenfone 6)
Oddly satisfying device. Getting old. But that camera motor is fire.
    8- Samsung Note 9
The last Note which had full Linux Distro support, and also has AUX port. It's dated now a bit, but worth keeping for those that still have one.
    9- LG V30
The OzBargainer Special. Showing its age, not really worth getting tbh
    10- iPhone 6S Plus
The last iPhone with a jack, even worse option. Maybe consider getting the third iPhone SE device, and have someone in China break it and put in the jack for you. But no ingress protection afterwards.

    • Wow! Thank you for the epic reply.
I'll definitely compare them all in more detail.
