  • I take it if I am currently on Boost Sim 200 365 days which expires in 2 weeks, then can not buy and use this sim?

    • +2

Yep pretty sure you have to port out to a different provider first.

    • Pretty sure you can still 'buy' this sim. But to 'use' it you will have to port out of boost first and then port back in with this sim.

      • But is there a 30day cool down? I'm pretty sure it won't let you sign up if you have been with boost in the past 30 days, no?

        • +1

I think the 30 day cool down is for those Telstra/JB HiFi/GoodGuys signup deals. In past I have ported out from Boost to Vodafone in the morning, and back to Boost in the evening. Port has taken upto 15 minutes both times. This was at least a year ago though so not sure if things have changed.

  • +4

Shit, a whole 50 cents higher profit than what I signed up for!

Killing it with these deals though 🙂

    • +2

If only I had a Deloreon I could see how much it's going to be tomorrow.

      • +2

Buy one today and another tomorrow. Don't think they have a limit of one per customer?

        • +2

          Truuuuuuuuuuu

My method is sticking for one a month at the moment, then cancelling the service online. Get some free games out of JB HiFi and a free burrito out of GyG

  • +4

Could you use this to get a new phone number and sign up to cashrewards and get referral bonus? Infinite money loop.

  • +1

I just bought one today for $15 cashback, I guess I can also buy this for my second sim slot if needed and make $2 in the process.

    • +1

actually looks like boost don't offer esim so its not possible for me now, oh well just have to be happy with free stuff instead

These things aren't shipping! I'm waiting 6 days now for a shipping confirmation… My order was placed before the cashrewards profit deals and now boost have taken a bazillion new orders. Cashback disqualified if not activated in 28/30 days! Risky!

(Not doweyys fault. Thanks for your great posts doweyy)

    • Boost never sends shipping confirmation iirc. I did receive my 2x $30 SIMs from the previous recent deals. It was packed and shipped in a prepaid envelope

      • Odd. The order email specifically says "we'll send you an email once your order has been shipped with a tracking number" and also warns of "delays on some orders"

      • +1

I got dispatch email 10 minutes ago, from Saturday's order:

        Your order has been dispatched
        [email protected]

Your order has been packed and is ready to be picked up by StarTrack!

        • +2

Weird, three times I ordered from Boost and I never received any shipping confirmation. I had to check my mailbox frequently to make sure I didn’t have missed delivery

        • Maybe due to state difference.

        • Got dispatched email from noreply2 this time for the previous deal.

      • +1

It used to do. Since it was addicted to affiliate marketing deal, the process was simplified. I can image that "activation for cashback" was simplified too, if never applied.

        Similar situation with Woolworths Mobile.

    • Contact Boost and get them to sort it out, from my experience they were very quick and dispatched hours after contact.

    • +1

      Mine ordered yesterday already shipped.

  • Do they normally contact you by phone before they despatch the order? I ordered the last DEAL but am outside Australia at the moment. Order still hasn't shipped.

    • +1

They never call or send any notification. It’s posted by a prepaid envelope.

  • Tracked instantly. So i get 50gb and $2?! I might make more orders

    • Shop until you drop!

    • Does your says cash back $15 or $17 very odd, mine only says $15

      • Mine says $17 & tracked in about 1 minute.

      • +1

Hi Froddo, What time did you click Shop Now? You can find this in your click history.
Any click prior to 1pm AEST will show $15 cashback. You need to click and buy after 1pm AEST to get $17.
        Any issues, just PM me.
        thanks,
        minita

        • All good, thks just saw $17 pending now

  • can you use an esim

    • says on their website

    • +1

      Not yet!

  • Tracked from CR but no email order confirmation from Boost. Been more than half hour. Is it normal ?

  • Sad they don’t have e-sim or international roaming yet

  • +2

is there a limit to how many sims you cna activate? Cant get past my 3rd activation with ID. Does anyone know when this resets?

  • Thanks Op, bought one and tracked fine.

  • +1

2 bucks and a new number wew, victory! Tinder here I come.

  • +1

    Things you need to know
All data offers are valid for new customers only who activate or first recharge by 26 September 2022.

    • this is on the CR deal page - "SIM must be activated within 30 days of ordering."

  • +1

Boost keeps telling me to enter a valid credit card number. Tried two but won't accept.
** seems to be a problem with Edge browser

  • +1

These are awesome deals, hope they can continue.

  • Can you activate the sim online yourself or do you have to call them?

    • +1

If online doesn't work, try live chat

    • Recently I've had trouble activating online for two SIMs. Calling them to activate was relatively painless and efficient.

  • Bought yesterday. No tracking. Should it take that long?

    • No, close to instant.

      • Thanks. I will have to wait for the timeout before I can put in a claim.

  • +1

    It arrived today.
The online Boost activation portal wont allow me to port. It gets to ID verification then fails. Need to activate via live chat message us in Boost

  • Their web activation process is broken in my experience. Activation through mobile app works better, and sometimes have to resort to calling them.

    • Activate it via ID login, which skips the ID verification.
