Mid Level Android Phone for Daughter

I am looking for a android phone with long battery life. Will mostly be used as a emergency phone for my daughter and have family link installed for when she takes the bus to school and back.

She does not use it as a regular phone so do not need any top spec's but want it to be reliable and usable when needed. Main aim would be to have long battery life (as she often forgets to charge it daily).

  • If you can live without the Android factor and Google Families tracking, we got one of ours the Nokia 225 dumbphone. Battery lasts over a week and means no easy access to social media etc

It's a sad thing, but be aware of the peer pressure placed on your kids by not having some type of smartphone.

      • Yeah depends on the age of the kid, luckily ours is currently too early for that

Gave her a hand-me-down Samsung Galaxy but she destroyed it, so she got the Nokia :P

        It still has Snake!

I thought of that, but the tracking (location tracking/sharing) is very useful to see if they got on the bus.

Mid Level Android Phone for Daughter

Seems like a fair swap, but I think you could aim for a flagship.

  • We got an Umidigi Android off their EBay store. Battery lasts 2-3 days and has decent capability for a low-mid level Android phone <$200.

    • Thanks, will look into it. As long is it is not painful to use because of low specs it should be fine.
