  • I think Dell suspends the checkout button to stop orders at wrong prices. Party is over.

  • +3

    not worth though

    • +2

Not worth it for a "buy without thinking", but still a pretty decent price for a standard FHD "office monitor"

      • Native Resolution
        Full HD (1080p) 1920 x 1080 at 75 Hz

        Response Time
        8 ms (grey-to-grey normal); 5 ms (grey-to-grey fast); 4 ms (grey-to-grey extreme)

better to get an used P grade monitor (may be $30-40 ?), similar performance

        • I don't know what a P grade monitor is, sorry
          E: P series from Dell?

          • @Mr Awesome: yeah :D Dell E/S -> Dell P -> Dell U

            • +1

@bazingaa: got some links for these models and at those prices?
or give model names so we can search

              why used one better?

              • @pinkybrain:

                why used one better?

I never buy brand new monitors, just used ones for cheaper price but with considerable performance, rotating stand etc.
Back in the CRT days, I had a giant IIYAMA 20" at 2048*1536 which I got for a very small price, which I could never afford as a brand new.
I am always looking for Dell P series monitors, but I have also got a HP Z series (Z22i) and LG monitor too.
They are usually found at local e-waste recycler or FB marketplace though :D

                • @bazingaa: oic.. and they sell at those prices $30-40 for a 24"?

do you have some links for P series models that selling that cheap?

also how is the condition of the screen?
other concerns is the backlight which has a higher failure rate as the monitor is older/ages

                  • @pinkybrain: They usually come in small quantity, motto is if you need one, check around and buy the best. I usually get from http://reboot-it.com.au but also check FB market place. For the price, I don't worry about the longevity anyway but all are still working. LED backlit monitors last long and nothing to worry about like for CCFL LCD. Sometimes, B grade one got some scratches in the back, could be even on the screen but hardly noticeable.

For reference, over the years I got,
Dell P2214H without stand $30 (used stand from my old Dell P1913s which I got for $25, 4+ years back)
HP Z22i with stand $50 (bit expensive but it was during the WFH craze during the lockdown)
                    LG 23MB35PM with stand $40
