I thought Whitakers chocolate was dear.
But 150g for $13 for 45% milk chocolate is above my luxury.

Understandably, bean2bar and the pricing that comes with it due to the work involved is not for everyone. This aside, we do appreciate you taking a look.

Out of curiosity may I ask where should a product like this sit in your personal opinion as I'd love the feedback.

I certainly like trying new boutique chocolate options, but the $9.90 shipping is just too steep for me when the product costs the same.

I know that's just you passing on price gouging by Auspost though.

They sure do not miss Koffee unless you're moving large volumes of parcels.

I really appreciate these honest comments as every bit of feedback helps.

While I appreciate you are trying to market a bit differently with some interesting flavours and branding, a few things just stand out that I find annoying, so I am just going to share.

While you state the brand is based on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, other than perhaps an owner or a marketing team, there is nothing in this area relating to actually making the product. As per your pickup limits above (and from your website), everything is actually made at the 17 Rocks factory in Queensland. 17 Rocks (17rocks.com.au) appears to be manufacturing, and I guess makes the chocolate for the Devils Barrel brand.

I thought perhaps you had opened a shopfront in Collaroy, but your address appears to be the Collaroy Local Post Office (or a unit above perhaps) so I gather you don't have anything in the area at all, and so makes me believe that whole thing is just marketing spin. The problem I have with spin is that it makes me question the other statements being made. Is it made from ingredients sourced from PNG, is it small batch, is it free of preservatives?

Regardless, the chocolate flavours look good and the pricing is not that different to 17 Rocks, so I guess everything is on par on that front. Anyway - just providing feedback, as Ozbargain is a great place to get it!

I absolutely love feedback so thank you!

I do have it in the FAQs and on the packaging about where the product/factory location and connection to 17 rocks. Maybe, I need to call that out more, so thank you.

Rest assured, I do live here and fulfill 99% of orders from here with the intent of opening a shop-front in the area that's like a cafe/chocolate experience location.

There is a vacant site a few doors up that's been that way for a few years but, the rent is beyond me for now.

Until then it's online and northern beaches market.

Once again - thanks for the truth bombs espcookie.
