Evening all,
I'm looking for a tablet (ideally android) that's 7" (like the switch oled) for remote play use with my ps5. Not looking for some powerhouse of a tablet just something that'll get the job done for remote play
Currently using my pixel 4a but the small screen can get quite tiresome for my eyes
Any recommendations would really be appreciated. I looked at those cheap Lenovo tab m7 but I don't think that'll do, maybe the Samsung a7?
The Tab M7 is way too underspeced for pretty much any game play. My 9 yr old son has one and it's pretty crappy all round. He just uses it for youtubing.
Most 7 to 8 inch Android tablets are underpowered. The Galaxy Tab A7 Lite for example, costs around $200 but it has a Mediatek MT8768T Helio P22T (which is from 2018)
An old iPad? My iPad 7th Gen was fine, I played pretty much the whole of Persona 5 Royal on Remote play
I ended up with the Lenovo tab m7, the 16:9 aspect ratio is perfect for remoteplay to the ps4/ps5, only downside is the older android so no rumble features but i can live without that
battery lasts ages, great for reading as well and sticks to the ps4 controller suction mount and weighs very little
Remote play from ps4/ps5 is very laggy for android. I suspect it's using internet to communicate even though both devices are on the same wifi.
Seems to be smooth for ios.
Remote play from xbox to android is smooth - xbox got it right.
