Just to be clear so I understand with my small brain.
The plan is going to cost $1656 and a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 5G 256GB is listed at $2499 at JB-HiFi.
So I would still pay $1499 for the phone and the $1656 plan cost over two years.Very cheap isn’t ? And Jb has done it again ( ripping customer off ) !! wonder how much commission Telstra give to Jb out if this 24 months “cheap” plans !!

I'm already on a $55 plan with Telstra. If i upgrade my plan to the $69 plan would it be the same deal? Kinda sucky it's for new customer's only.

The issue with that is I'll lose my existing number and also nearly 40,000 Telstra points.
2 year is fast in the tech world. 12 months is better.

Still crazily expensive when you break down the costs:
$1499 for the phone + $1656 for the plan = $3155 total while being locked into a 2yr plan…
Would be significantly cheaper to just buy a 50% off voucher from the classifieds to buy the phone.
Signed up yesterday for a ripper deal…was told it was for one day only.
$800 off the Flip 4 by signing up to the $69 dollar plan for 12 months.
Then I applied for my $20/month port in credit for 12 months.

1500$ off, for the new fold 4 at 2499$ - 99$/month plan for 24months 300GB data. 1000$ out of pocket.
Straight off the bat, hit up Telstra chat and the first rep gave 20$ off per month. So 79$/month. On top, 150$ credit to use for International Roaming (5$/day for NZ, 10$/day for other countries) - 79×12 = 948$ + 99×12 = 1188$
Flew to NZ, GST refund 227$
Total cost - 1000$ + 948$ + 1188$ - 150$ - 227$ = 2,759$
Considering the phone is 2499$
Telco cost - 2759$-2499$ = 260$ for 24 months (10.83$/month)Appreciate any feedback, cheers.
