[PC, macOS, PS4, PS5, XSX, XB1] Desert Luxe Kit DLC - Free for Owners of The Sims 4 Base Game @ EA

As a follow-up to dealbot's earlier post regarding The Sims 4 base game becoming free-to-play from October 18th (USA timezone) onwards, this deal post is specifically for the Desert Luxe Kit DLC being offered as a temporary freebie up until October 18th:

• anyone who has ownership of The Sims 4 base game on PC/macOS/PlayStation/Xbox BEFORE October 18th 8:00AM PT - or can readily obtain The Sims 4 base game by having an active EA Play subscription / an active Xbox Game Pass subscription
• these folks are currently eligible to obtain and redeem the Desert Luxe Kit DLC for FREE, between now and October 19th 2:00AM AEST (October 18th 8:00AM PT), via the base game's in-game 'Main Menu' or other methods (Origin Store, Steam).

Method 1: Launch The Sims 4 base game on your PC, macOS, PS4, PS5, Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S system; open 'Main Menu'

Method 2: Origin Store

• Assuming you already have The Sims 4 base game in your Origin library, view the Desert Luxe Kit DLC on your web browser, the 'Buy Now' price should be displayed as 100% off.
• Click and proceed to payment; choose PayPal with "do not save my payment information", it should add the DLC to your account without even being redirected to the PayPal website (source: HotUKDeals post comment)

Method 3: Steam

• Assuming you already have The Sims 4 base game in your Steam library, view the Desert Luxe Kit DLC on your web browser, it should currently be marked as 'Free', then click 'Add to Library'
• Alternatively, ensure the Steam client software is running on your PC, enter this URL (steam://run/1932741/) in your web browser's Address bar, and when asked, choose the Steam application to launch that URL.
