Second Hand TV Recommendations (50"+, < $300)

Hi all

I'm in need of a cheap but reliable 50-60" TV for a room that will only be used approximately twice a week (spare room). The ability to stream/cast music and videos from my phone to the television is essential (I understand there's plenty of devices that can be used now such as Chromecast to enable this on older TVs, but that some TV models experience more issues than others connecting to those devices).

There's numerous such televisions on FB Marketplace and the like, but to narrow my search I'd really appreciate some recommendations as to particular brands, models, features and things to generally look for when buying from the second-hand TV market.

Thanks!

  • Why twice per week? Your favourite show?

Come on dude really…. you haven't even stated what suburb you are at or even a budget to even look at, and there will be thousands of TVs ranging from 2000-current… Maybe you do some research before asking ozbargain to do it all for you on such a ridiculous request

Obviously the big brands are good but if it's an old LCD or plasma it's not worth it
