If you want somewhere local with Australian plugs and warranty, check in with the guys at www.protog.com.au (official distributor in Australia)
I spoke to these guys before to buy a bunch of Low-Self-Discharge AA rechargables and a Maha charger. I explained that it was cheaper to buy from overseas, but I'd rather support a local business and he did me a deal. At least you won't need adapters and wait several weeks for shipping.

Yeah old thread, but Ham Radio Outlets (US) sell them for US$39.95

They charge a much heftier $38 USD for freight now. I highly recommend using Shipito as they only charge about $8 USD for the freight, this with the $9.95 standard freight from Ham Radio makes it a total of around $60USD for the item and shipping.
My old LC BC700 died on me, nearly melted down the battery but I managed to catch it in the act. There were a few dimples from excessive heat damage. Many others online were not so lucky and their entire charger melted. My display is now dead, it seems to dumb charge the batteries only and does not shut off ever.
Be wary that the package from Ham Radio is about 600grams for the charger and another 500 grams for the brochures and box that they add with it!
This makes it about $22USD for economy airmail. I got mine and it is in working order. Looks a lot better than the BC700, it's like twice the size.
