JB Hi-Fi Online chang of prices

Hey OzBargainers.

I've been looking for a decent 32" Full HD TV.

The best I've found has been this deal that was on JB Hifi online a few days ago.

I printed it out as I was going to go down to the shop and try to see if they'd get close to matching it, but when I was almost ready to I noticed that it is no longer available for the price and has jumped significantly higher.

A similar thing has also happened to this Bravia I was interested in

Both jumped from $628.20 to $698. A significant increase.

Do you think theres any chance that if I go into the store that they'll be able to come close to matching 628.20? Because that is by far the best deal that I've seen for these TVs.

Also, any other suggestions for decent Full HD 32" TVs I can get for the sub $650 mark would be awesome.

    i think the price shown for 628.20 is 10 percent of 698. JB must have had a 10% off all plasma and led/lcd televisions deal going and must've just changed when you walked into the store…..so technically they didn't just randomly increase the price rather it was just the sale ending. Go in and ask that you will purchase the TV still and see if you can still get the 10% off deal.

    They obviously had a 10% off deal going on then, and now they are back to regular price. It's exactly 10%.

    I'll go in this weekend to see if I can still get 10% off anyway. EOFY, hopefully I can!

    I'd go armed with a printout where the basically same TV is cheaper than the JB price. You should be able to find ~$610 prices to compare with.

    Take into account though that these models are still in the new and expensive phase - they will drop in price on the world market over time and you'll be able to find them cheaper in a few months.

        The trick they play is making up product codes per retailer/market so that comparison is difficult. Don't get seduced, compare the functions and if the spotty shop minion says they are not the same, ask him where the differences are.
