Tyres for Ford Kuga 2015 (235/50R18)

Good day everyone, my wife's 2015 Ford Kuga needs all 4 tyres to be replaced.

The current set (Bridgestone Potenza) has done approximately 50,000km. A new set of these tyres are $240 each at supercheap auto. An alternative that I found is the Bridgestone Ecopia H/L 001 tyre which is $310 a tyre at Bob Jane, with the fourth tyre being free (a special they are running until end of month). I am inclined to opt for the Ecopia range over the Potenza. However, thought I would ask if anyone would have an opinion on these tyres and/or if there any better options out there.

FYI - Her current tyre size is the Potenza 235/50r18. The Ecopia is only available in 235/55r18. So the newer tyre will have a higher aspect ratio, which I understand would not really be an issue as it is only a 5% difference between the two sizes.

Thank you in advance.

  • I installed some ecopias on my car (not Kuga). Slightly better economy than the last set. Handling went downhill. But that doesn't concern me much - it's not a race car!

  • Try tyroola when you have a good price , they should beat it . If your not sure about the tyres you want to fit just ask them and then go do some research…
