Upgrade Z Fold 3 to 4 - Cheapest Option

Hi all! I've got a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and am really loving it - except for the battery life. Not good at all, especially when using the larger screen. I have heard that the new model has it considerably improved battery life as well as a few other little tweaks so I'm looking to upgrade.

I got this current phone outright on a great OzBargain deal late last year, and am currently on a decent $30 a month plan with Moose Mobile. I'm not really keen to go back into indentured servitude with the phone companies for 2 or 3 years unless the deal was way too good to refuse, so just wondering what everyone would recommend as a way to upgrade as cheaply as possible?

Sell the old fold privately, and provide them with warranty details so that you can get the best possible price for it. May be best to wait until you find a good deal on the Fold 4 — the longer you wait the better the deal is likely to be, naturally.

Cheapest way to get a Fold 4 would be buying a 50% off voucher from the classifieds section.

Would make the price (not including the cost of code):

    1TB $1499
    512GB $1349
    256GB $1249

Then just sell your old phone privately to make it even cheaper

    • Do you know how do they get that 50% off voucher?

      • I was wondering the same thing. Sounds like a pretty awesome perk.

      • Probably worth checking the classifieds.

Or DMing the person talking about it…

Out of curiosity how's the crease holding up?
Partner had both the Z flip 2 and 3 and neither of those lasted more than a year and everytime the issue had been with the screen. Perhaps things have improved with the Flip and Fold 4 but maybe due to our own experience I tend to think these flexible screens are still in beta. Suppose your experience is different to mine?

    • It's doing fine. Only issue has been the screen protector starting to come off at the bottom of the crease, but this can apparently be replaced by the consumer without voiding warranty. The Flip might have more issues, but the Fold has been pretty good so far.
