  When buying prescription glasses, why can't I choose the brand of the lenses? Basically, it just shows standard or thin lenses? If I would like to but Zeiss, how can I do it? Or Specsaver normally sells non-branded lenses?

    My understanding is that effectively the vast majority of glasses providers are owned by Luxxotica, so all lens stock is effectively the same - it's just the frames that are different. Though Luxxotica doesn't own Specsavers, they do own OPSM and a whole bunch of others. I was under the impression from discussions with my Specsavers store that they do work with Luxxotica though 🤷‍♀️

    they're a "budget-oriented" company so not going to give you a choice with lens brands.
