Bigpond Mail Account No Longer Working in Mail App

I use the mail app on my iPhone and lately my Bigpond email has stopped working in the mail app. It keeps asking for my password and then it clears from the mail app and has password error when checking the mail app a minute later. It appears the password is clearing from the mail settings. I know it’s the right password- I even put bogus passwords in and it immediately says wrong password. I have tried deleting the account and starting again- this works for half a day to a day and then the issue returns.

Thoughts?

    1- Why do you use Bigpond.
    2- Why would you use Bigpond mail.

  • Coul it possibly have to do with the mandatory two factor authentication?

  • Thanks for the replies. It is currently working. I’m not sure what changed. I’ll report back and try some of these things if the issue returns.
