Amazon AU Customer Support Contact Removal from Website (Sept 2022)

Hey,

Just wondering if anyone else has had the contact feature to "request a call" or "chat" removed / missing from their help section?

I have just spent ~2 hours contacting the last mile delivery emergency number (which is 1800-990-253 for anyone requiring it for future use). Two agents explained to me that their business is constant evolving and that is why it was likely removed, but I want to see if others are having the issue.

I have explained to Amazon if I cannot make contact directly (call or chat) to support (I'm not willing to go through emergency numbers to be transferred, to then have to spell my name, email etc using phonetic alphabet, only not to be understood) that I will stop using their service and she checked with a supervisor, to which he responded that I need to respect Amazon's business decisions 😂😂. I'm just confused as this make no sense for Amazon and their model.

Thanks Everyone. It's changed location from where I use to get access. Not sure what Amazon were on about

Help section -> something else ->other issue

    Call and chat are available.

Always been that way (for the times I've contacted them) as the rest are all automated attempts at customer service.

I have just spent ~2 hours contacting the last mile delivery emergency number

Couple of clicks and online chat would have been easier.. not a chance I would spend 2 hours on support for something like Amazon.

    their business is constant evolving

Translation : We have destroyed the small businesses and our online competitors, we now have a monopoly and no longer have to offer the customer service that we once used to..

    Same thing with Uber btw.

  • Still there for me but it's increasingly common for large business to not have phone/chat support but instead need to go through an automated service, request a call back, use an app etc. I don't like it but can't do anything about it.

OP are you referring to Amazon Flex support or general customer support?

    • Just general. I have found that the app works and not the desktop version. Not sure what is going on, but hopefully it's just my account
