Recently bought a heap of Volcom gear from the site. Very thin/lightweight material, wouldn't recommend the hoodies for winter season on kids.

Wife and I got jackets, and they are excellent, especially considering the price we got them for.
I take back what I said. Had another item arrive today and it's much better quality, turns out the other shirt was organic cotton which gives a thin, slippery feel.
The hoodie I got was a pullover fleece, very lightweight and probably more ideal for a cooler summer night

I've bought a heap of gear, can't tell any difference in quality from the usual competitor stuff like Billabong, Quicksilver, Puma, Addidas etc. Surf/Skate Shops at the local Westfield are asking $80 ish + for a similar hoodie/crewneck pullover.
I got a fleece zip hoodie from tk maxx earlier in year. Really liked it till i splashed bleach on it. Gutted no XL available. Could have got 2 for 50 :-(
