Completely agree, I did purchase it at $2.50 years ago and have since put around 950 hours into it. Would easily pay $30-35 for it.
Pity it is still $59.95 (inclusive of Nintendo tax) on the Switch otherwise I would be happy to double dip and buy it there.
Honestly curious how games like these play on console/controller. I feel inventory management would be a nightmare? (though Terraria's QOL features regarding bulk transfers are leagues ahead of most games similar to this)
IMO - Exploration and combat are better on controller, mining and building are better on KB/Mouse.
Inventory control, eh, same same. Small part of the game for me.
I played a few hundred hours on PS4 - I changed over to keyboard and mouse about 50 hours in as I found myself dying too often when I hit a difficulty spike in hard mode due to not being as good with a controller as a mouse for aiming. If you're playing as a summon character however you will find the controller not a problem at all.
I found terraria on Xbox clunky, combat isn’t as fun and yeah menus were a pain

Terraria 2.49 USDOf course you could make the argument that I would have been better off investing my US$2.49 instead of spending it on a game I've never played in the ten years since purchase.
You should have a go, it's a really solid game that has aged well with plenty of updates to this day
I just searched my emails out of interest for how much I paid, it was $1.99 USD in 2014 as Steam didn't have AUD until recently.
According to the historical exchange rate, it was A$2.12, as the AUD was 0.94.
Great game would highly recommend the developer really put their heart and soul into this game

I got this back in the day around release, loved minecraft to bits but I just couldnt really get into it?
Minecraft is so simple, but Terraria always feels so overwhelming because theres just SO much to do/can be done …
Gotta hand it to the devs though, still releasing new content to this day.They've been saying they wouldn't update it but they keep releasing great updates that keep improving the game
Played for a while on Xbox, couldn't beat the boss in hell. Wish I'd never wasted so much of my time on the game.
Even at full price, this game is worth every single penny so honestly no big loss even if you can't get it at 2.50 anymore
