D2:R is pretty sweet. Probably Blizzard's best release in the last 10 years.

    • +2

yep, and new season about to start with some interesting fresh stuff

      get into it m8z

    • Is this a historic low for the remaster?

I have so much nostalgia for this game but have held off because of my backlog, but might be tempted for 50% off…

      • +3

I believe it is equal lowest

    • +1

Is it really that worth it? I played it as a kid and enjoyed it but that was years ago

      • Only you can answer that. I enjoy it.

      • +2

I played it when I was a kid and bought d2r during launch thinking it would be a nostalgia thing.

But it is so much more. The information from the internet gives you a lot more content for this game (esp the end game). I have clocked up more than 400 hours since launch, and still playing it.

  • How is the cod landscape these days for multiplayer? The last time I actively played cod multi was black ops…

    • +1

      Warzone going off its chops

Warzone 2 in November will probably kill the COD scene

@Big Lez: The COD community is without a doubt some of the most toxic I've ever seen. I was playing MW2 beta and left the mic on and I've never heard so much racist, misogynistic, juvenile, bile in my life. I couldn't image being the type of person that gets my kicks out of being a real life troll. I actually really like playing the game but the community is one of the worst in the entire gaming community.

    Stay a while and listen…

      …for the Game Pass announcement

        Feels good man.

      • +3

        Thanks I'll hold off.

"We intend to make Activision Blizzard’s much-loved library of games – including Overwatch, Diablo and Call of Duty – available in Game Pass and to grow those gaming communities"

        https://blogs.microsoft.com/on-the-issues/2022/09/01/gaming-…

        • MS should then offer a subsidy for wow subscriptions to gamepass subscribers. Encourages new players to give it a try while retaining loyalty of old players with incentives.

      • -2

Hope Microsoft can buy more big gaming companies so even more big stuff come to game pass.

        • +3

It might seem great in the interim, but once they take out all competitors, they could charge whatever they want. I prefer to buy a game and own it outright if I really like it, and not a fan of how most games have microtransactions

  • How challenging is this game, is it more or less like the original D2?

    • +1

More forgiving with some of the updates like shared stash and the terror zones now mean you don't have to just farm Baal

    • It's literally the same game with high def graphics mapped over the top of the original engine, you can swap between both graphics at will. They have done some updates/patches but it's not a remake, it's the same game.

      • +10

So the high def graphics just made themselves did they?

  • Is D2:R on steam?

  • +5

Bought D2:R during the last deal, farming nightmare meph at the moment. The graphics are wayyyyyy better than the original.

    • +1

Meph is also hell of a drug

  • +6

Still blows goats that D2R doesn't support cross play.

    • +4

I agree but it's good for the goats though

  • worth or not?

  • Damn got D2R when it was $45…should have waited :(

  • +2

I got D2R in the last sale - very satisfying!

  • Played d2r literally 4 hrs a day since it's launched last year…… worth every cent and more. Now considering to buy again for high pp to bug farm meph.

  • mouse goes: click, click, click, clickclickclickclickclickclickclick

    • Works on controller.

  • +1

    When does this sale end?

    • Good question - when I looked around the Battle.net Shop website, it was frustrating for me to not see any explicit wording on when these games' discount offers will end.

I'll amend the deal post so that the Expiry date is set 1 week from now … that's in line with Activision-Blizzard's earlier 'Games Deals 2022' promo that went from Aug 31 to Sep 5 (about 1 week duration).

  • +1

Nice find op, I bought Diablo II: resurrected. Spent hundreds of hours on this game as a kid, it was like drugs to me lmao.

Can't waited to play it on my pc with maximum settings, graphic gonna be lit.

  • +1

Thanks I got the 'Diablo Prime Evil Collection' I haven't use my account since 2014 I didn't know I already had D3 :\
It dropped down to $42. Nice?!

    • +1

If you have d3, and expansions it reduces the price.

  • Don't wanna play any of blizzard stuff after they stuffed up wc3 remaster.

  • +1

Just keep in mind that a survey Blizz sent out recently indicated that you'll be able to get D2:R and 3 when you preorder certain packages of Diablo 4. So if you plan on picking that up, might be best to wait.

    • Also keep in mind there is no identifed release date for Diablo 4 other than '2023'.

      https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.ign.com/articles/blizzard-a…

That post suggests that public beta access activites will occur "early next year". So release could end up being 12-14 months away.

I'm considering grabbing resurrected, as I have only played 3. But debating the PC version vs Xbox, as my mate has it one Xbox and it doesn't appear to be cross play?

      • If the recent Blizz leak is any indication Diablo IV will release in April next year, with pre-orders starting December 8th (Same day as the Game Awards). The leak has been pretty accurate so far with the WoW expansion release date so here's hoping.

  • Deal post updated to omit the expired (67% off) discounts for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) and replaced it with Call of Duty: Vanguard (50% off)

Surprisingly, the (50% off) discounts for Diablo II: Resurrected and Diablo Prime Evil Collection are still active … again, its impossible to deduce from the Battle.net Shop webpages as to how long these discounts will last …
