What does limit of 2 toys mean, you can get 2 with one Happy Meal?

    • +7

You have to pay for the second, $2 possibly.

      • +5

No, it means there are 4 cards in the pack but you can expect they will forgot to give you half of them.

        • Don't know why I'm negged that you have to pay for additional toys in a happy meal. That is always how it worked.

          • +2

@Gehirn: Some people are nuff nuffs and neg for no reason. I usually up vote if I see an unwarranted neg just to cancel it out.

          • +2

            @Gehirn: *

Probably got downvoted by a grammar nazi. If so, I'd say screw them and pay them, not a single thought.

          • @Gehirn: @Gehirn didn't know that there is such a thing! Thanks!

    Bought a Happy Meal today.

The "spinner" is a fold-it-yourself cardboard jobby.
The "coin" is … you guesses it - a circular piece of cardboard.
    Didn't see a card box.

    • +5

Yeah, my kid got one this week due to school holiday.
Not sure what makes this a deal over any other happy meal toy. 4 cards and some additional cardboard:)

Pokemon stuff comes in the cardboard box
Looks like overseas had a more sturdier plastic spinner rather than what we got. Would of been better than getting a cardboard spinner that won't last after a few plays.

Environmental consciousness would have hounded them for it. See the mini toys that colesworth had given out.

        • +2

Maybe we should teach our kids to make use of stuff and not use it once and toss it away?
My kids still play with all the colesworth stuff (littleshop, stikeez, etc)

Unfortunately the harry potter builders are already falling apart as the cardboard loosens up with play. And the woolworths stickerms were definitely not reusable more than 2-3 times.

If toys are made of quality plastics itll last generations (abeit would need to be properly disposed of of course). I still have outdoor toys that have outlasted the same toys my kids have received as presents is the past 3 years.

          • +5

@cumova: These are disposable toys we're talking about, built for nothing more than to keep kids entertained in the back seat for 20min.
I'm often throwing out McDonald's toys that no longer hold their attention and am glad that I can at least throw all of this round in the recycling.

  • same kit but minus the cardboard coin for $2.00 last year. And all of the cards where faulty, seemed liked seconds. I confirmed this with a network of peeps around Australia.

In the app, Happy Meals are $5.45 but on the self serve in store they are $6.20

    • I've only just realised they’ve put up the price by 50c!

  • +8

How exactly is this a deal please

    • +1

Pikachu foils were selling on marketplace last year. Dunno why else.

  • +4

How this is a deal when 53 cards selling in amazon for $15 ?

Yet an another happy meal kids item.

  • +1

    It's a trap. Obviously.

  • +7

Don't see how this is a bargain.

    • You can sell happy meal toys to subsidise the cost of the food.

Or sit down near a billionaire who’s eating, strike up a conversation, they become your mentor and you then build your own billion dollar company.

I’m got Happy Meal Reader Books. Not happy, Jan.

    • May have sold out of the Pokemon cards, resellers have been buying them for a while now in bulk (before they'd even been officially released).

    • +1

Happened to me during the week. Just double check you got them and go back in and ask for them. I ended up keeping the books as well.
Definitely not sold out. Just came out on the 20th I think and are there until early November so will be sold out probably mid Oct

    Not a bargain…

  • I saw this in store two weeks ago? At Carlingford Court.

    • Yeah the first official day for these Pokemon cards was 23rd of last month.

  • +5

McDonald's must be real grateful for the free advertising you are giving them for nothing. Standard priced Happy Meal ain't no deal.

  • +2

Thanks op . I will get this for my girl friend husband before I pick her up for our date

  • Can you buy these without the food from maccas?

  • Which Pokemon cards are available? Does anyone know?

    • idk if there's randomisation, but I got a foil Pikachu from a pack this week.
