Target Australia Is Publishing Reviews at Their Own Will

My dad made a purchase through Target but it was lost and they offered refund instead of providing replacement though they could have offered a replacement. My dad had to chase them multiple times for a product delivery but it was considered lost after few weeks and therefore they just refunded without even discussing an alternative options. I believe this was fine because he received his money back.

Ironically they sent him a review request via email. He only mentioned facts about not getting a replacement and that it was a horrendous shopping experience. Target staff manually checked the review as per follow up email and they decided not to publish the review on the basis that it violated their guidelines.

I don't see any bad words being used, so Target was wrong in this case. It appears Target has an intention to publish positive reviews only.

    It looks bad on them because he claimed they lost the item and that he did not get compensation for his lost item however it was an incorrect review since he has recieved a full refund

      Where does it say about compensation? It only states replacement which is a fair demand.

    Every company does this. The review is also misleading since they did offer a refund resolution which isn't mentioned.

    They're not obliged to provide a replacement as indeed most companies don't offer exchanges. It's a logistic challenge to do so and much easier to refund.

    Non-delivery doesn't entitle you to claining ComPEnSAzion.

    As you said, they refunded everything in line with the T's & C's. The review was non-factual.
    Yes it's crap but you just have to move on.

      I don't see any compensation demand in the review. He only asked for a replacement which I understand they are not obliged to provide.

    You are suppose to review the product. Not the sales. Review your experience with Target somewhere else.
