          Not a tax accountant.
          That reasoning isn't super legit haha, but you can always instead say the active noise cancelling feature helps with you wfh or working from the office in reducing noise and distractions. On top of that, you can say you got it for only work calls and training session as well.

      My understanding was that you’re able to claim based on the depreciation over effective life of the product which for in ear headphones is a year, so you can claim it all off tax even if it’s over $300

        If you use them for your job, then you can claim them as a work expense. If you half use them for work you can claim a portion.

    Hanging out for Airpods Pro 2 with USB-C port … iPhones will have to migrate by end of 2024 due to the Europe legislation, so it can't be too far behind… hopefully Airpods Pro 1 will carry through till then!

    Just be very careful with buying AirPods. I didn’t find out my AirPods Pro were fake till 8 months later when I brought them for repair. The iPhone still recognised them as genuine till problems arised. Even the seriel numbers were accepted. I’ll never buy AirPods from eBay again.

        I suppose they can copy legit serial numbers then print them on the fake labels. Until the genuine AirPods are activated by a new owner, the serial number would show legit from a fake label. So yeah, exercise care where you buy from and make sure the company is credible with strong consent policies and record. I'd never buy from eBay private seller or gumtree for this type of product which is easy to counterfeit on the surface level. You can of course do in-hand testing but that's only true for say gumtree meet-in-person sale, not for postal orders.
