How to Use Varied Gift Cards with Small Amount Remaining?

Hi all, I have a lot of VISA gift cards with small amounts ranging from 2 cents to $1.XX.

Now I'm not fussed about 2 cents, but there are a few cards that have at least 14 cents or more remaining etc. Is there a way to use up these amounts online somewhere?

@wookiemonster any ideas?

    Most merchants will not allow you to split payments online. There could be some digital wallets that lets you top-up your account with credit cards (Bano etc) but when you're dealing with such low balances it might be not be possible.

    In-store, you can use them on any self-service checkout terminal that lets you split payments (e.g Colesworths).

    Select Payment type: Card (Split), enter the balance manually, pay, then repeat as necessary till you exhausted all your cards. I think there might be a limit as to how many times you can split payment.

    • Cheers for that.

    Lesson one: don’t use a gift card unless you are going to use the whole balance.

    (I hate gift cards)

      sounds like my dad 😔

      • While it’s nice to receive a gift, gift cards require very little effort and are often limited to a shop that you then need to go visit to choose something, then you’ve got to actually remember you’ve got one and then use it.

        More than a few that I’ve had have gone to ‘general revenue’ rather than a special item.

        • I do too, but I got a few as gifts and also the Coles Myers ones.

    I've had success in buying Amazon giftcards via Amazon with excess funds on mine

      That is what I have done in the past also. There is a $1 minimum for Amazon Australia though and in my experience some gift cards don't work on Amazon.

      • Cheers I think that would be the easiest way other than colesworth

    • This is a great recommendation

      Now if only someone can figure out a way to turn them back in $$$$
