10,000 Bonus PayRewards Points When You Pay $10,000 of Business Expenses via Pay.com.au @ The High Life

10

The High Life has teamed up with the payment platform pay.com.au to offer our readers 10,000 bonus PayRewards points when you put through $10k of business payments via the platform in the first month.

Pay.com.au is an Australian-based payment platform that helps businesses turn bills into rewards.

You must sign up via our partner link to get this deal. Any business with an ABN can sign up.

10,000 PayRewards points can be converted to 4,000 Qantas Points or Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles.

Earn credit card reward points

With pay.com.au, you can pay almost all business expenses with a rewards credit card, including rent, tax, payroll, superannuation, supplier invoices and other bills.

Pay.com.au simply charges your card and then sends money to your payee by BPay or funds transfer. Your card issuer treats this as a regular purchase and you earn full points on the transaction.

Pay.com.au charges a flat fee for card transactions, which varies depending on your monthly plan (there's a free version) and type of card. Mastercard/Visa transaction fees are 0.8-1.2% while Amex is 1.9-2.1% (ex GST).

Earn PayRewards points on card payments or bank transfers

You can also earn points in pay.com.au's own loyalty program, PayRewards. This is an optional extra that you can decide to take up during each transaction.

The cost is 1.0% to earn 1 PayReward point per $1, or 1.8% to earn 2 points per $1 (ex GST).

This option is available for both card payments and bank transfers when you link your business bank account to the platform (there is no transaction fee for bank transfers - just the optional fee to earn PayRewards points.)

PayRewards points can be converted to Qantas Points or Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles at a rate of 2.5 : 1

Other benefits

In addition to earning points, there are several other benefits to consider, including:

  • improved cash-flow when you pay by card, since you have up to 55 days to pay it off without incurring interest
  • simpler payments, since you can save multiple cards and bank accounts and pay all business expenses via the platform
  • seamless integration with Xero to make bookkeeping more efficient
  • points advice: get expert help on setting your business up with credit cards to maximise points
  • PayTravel: customers on a monthly plan can get help from a dedicated team to book paid and points flights and other travel experiences
  • PayConcierge: pay.com.au’s luxury concierge service helps you access experiences such as reservations at top restaurants, VIP concert tickets and premier cultural events. The service is free for active customers.

10,000 bonus PayRewards points

As a special incentive for our readers, pay.com.au is offering 10,000 bonus PayRewards points to new customers who sign up via our partner link and process $10,000 or more in the first month by either (i) a credit card or (ii) a bank transfer where PayRewards points are earned.

This is a great opportunity to try out the service while boosting your points balance.

  • All I can say is - WTF?

  • so if you choose Free $0 / Month plan pay bills with bank account $0 you still earn the sign up promo bonus? can it be used to pay credit card off?

    • No, the bonus is only available if you pay by either (i) a credit card or (ii) a bank transfer where PayRewards points are earned (which incurs a fee: 1.0% to earn 1 PayReward point per $1, or 1.8% to earn 2 points per $1 (ex GST))

Yes you can pay a credit card off this way.

  • So you can use a credit card to pay off another credit card?

    • You can't use a credit card to pay off another credit card as that's a prohibited payment under the T&Cs, but you can use a bank account to pay off a credit card and opt to earn PayRewards points for a fee.

  • so to pay a business credit card balance $10 000 off at a cost of 1.8% it will cost $180 plus gst from a bank account transfer in? you receive 10,000 PayRewards points converted to 4,000 Qantas Points seems hardly worth it unless you can claim the gst and fee on tax/?

    • +1

You'd earn 2 PayRewards points per $1 for the $10k transaction (=20,000 points) plus get 10k bonus points. So you'd get 30k total points, which can be converted to 12,000 Qantas Points or KrisFlyer miles.
