If it’s perfection, why would you? FYI, I do stove top.

Give it a bit of a swirl around with some chopsticks to make it fluffy. I normally do it with my coconut rice. Probably makes no difference.

Also makes it much easier to scoop out after it's been mixed/stirred

Japanese perfected rice cookers decades ago. Nowadays I don’t use one because I’m very good at cooking rice in a pot. But either way, I don’t stir the rice afterwards. You need to let it sit with the lid on for a few minutes after it’s finished, to absorb the moisture.

I don't stir and the process of scooping it out from pot to bowl fluffs it enough. Probably depends on your cooking method/equipment.

Like clicking some tongs when you pick them up, stirring the rice is just a necessity 😂

  • Just had home made Sushi today. Genuine Japanese rice but Korean nori.
Stiring the rice would be like adding pineapple to a pizza in Sicily!!! YUCK!!!
