Still not a cheap set by any means, however it is on sale at the moment and the cheapest it's been on Amazon.

I'm sure I saw this lower on AMZN, only camelx3 hasn't captured it.

In any case would never buy at this price. Just look at what the Lambo can be had for on sale ($400ish). Pretty sure the SP3 will be < $500 if you wait.

    • Agree, the prices in the US have already dropped. This is for those that need it now rather than later.

I bought one off Zavvi last week for $588 shipped and at the time got a 20% Cashrewards which came back at $116 so I'm hoping to nett it at around $463, though I would rather have bought it off Amazon as I'm yet to see how it arrives from Zavvi.

Lego - the kids toy no one can afford anymore

    • -1

This model isn’t a kids toy - and you’re being naive or trolling if you think otherwise!!!

Edit: wish I could afford this…

  • I actually tried fake Lego set because the price was so attempting. The fake Lego Technic Bugatti Chiron was only about $70, compared with nearly $700 for a real set. However, the quality wasn't there. The parts can't move smoothly. Especially, the engine was too stiff to move. If you only enjoy building Lego, buying fake may justify your spend. Just don't think about playing with it once built.

    • I've not tried fake lego but perhaps this problem only really applies to technic sets that have moving parts that, by definition, require more precision.

      • You may be right. Because I'm only interested in Lego Technic, I haven't tried other Lego yet.

        • I got a Ferrari F40 Creator set from Alibaba for like $45, only because it's not available anymore, so the real ~$120 sets now go for $600.

It wasn't Lego quality by any stretch, but it fit the bill. I agree with DevGuy above, that you probably want that level of quality on sets like these, not just because they're quite special, but because of all those intricate moving parts that you want to work smooth and not fail.

  • dont forget 7% shopback = $546.82
