    I have had a couple of this type of light. Each was slightly different but obviously a Sipik copy. The first started flickering and fading out but sometimes came good with a tap within minutes. The second one ran for nearly an hour (not continuous use) before it started the same. They were not from sungmart but a similar site. Anyone actually had a good run on these Sipik imitations?

      Are there any difference in the construction between the branded Sipik ones and the non branded ones. I've always thought these cheap led lights are made from the same factory, but just branded with a different logo.

      I had the same problem with mine. There is a dodgy contact in there somewhere. Not worth buying IMO as they are so unreliable. I bought 2, both had the same issue

        I bought some flashlight from DX(all uses AA size battery).
        probably only one that is still good so far, most have the doggy contact somewhere in there which I never bother to fix, just waste of money! :(

    Interesting - change the currency from USD to AUD on the website and $5.87 becomes $7.80….. has there been some horrible currency devaluation thing happen that I've missed?

    Was not aware that there were copies out there of this particular torch, so obviously it's going to be a gamble with some sites. The Sipik branded one I bought from Meritline (almost continuously on their daily deals page - most recently for $7.99), I assume is the real McCoy. Serious quality and probably the best thing I've ever bought for under 10 bucks.
    By the way - not quite sure I'm why I'm recommending Meritline. After having bought lots of bits and pieces from them, the first item over $20 I buy they royally stuff up. Wrong item sent, and not worth the hassle to return… Live and learn I suppose.

    I don't think it is 300Lm
    The CREE Q5 spec is rated at 107Lm, pushing it to get to 300Lm would definitely damage the LED or it's an exaggerated number (i.e. Peak performance for .2 seconds)
