Cashrewards Clicking 'Enquire' on Pending Status

Hi OzB,

I an a avid user of the site and it pretty much dictates all my purchases.
I say a deal with upsized cash rewards today and noticed it took a bit of time to track. So I went into my CR account and then discovered so many pending cash rewards going back months.
I have started to hit enquire but I have done this now for the past year with over 20+ transactions

Has this happened to anyone before?
Did you get a resolution?

Thanks community

  • You're obviously doing something wrong. Suggest getting into contact with the CR Help Centre & maybe they can work out where you keep going wrong.

  • Cashback websites such as Shopback/Cashrewards/Cheddar etc are not set and forget. You need to manually keep track and make sure that, firstly, it shows up in your tracking. Then Check again when it should be available for withdraw. You can set reminder on ozb deals to remind you.

I feel like this is actually a key part of their business model, to "accidentally" forget to process stuff so they don't always end up having to pay. Like how gift cards are so profitable because a sizeable chunk never end up getting redeemed.

    • Cashback can be profitable depending on how much you give back. E.g. store gives the cashback provider 10%, they give you 4% and they profit 6%.

So I went into my CR account and then discovered so many pending cash rewards going back months.

So they are tracking… has the expected payout date passed?

Did the enquire button redirect here?

  • All my big items wouldn't get paid with cashrewards. So I stopped using them period.

If they didn't track properly. Then how did they know I made the transaction in the first place to come up with that lie?
