LOEWE 55" BILD 3.55 S2 4K OLED TV + Bonus Fire Stick Lite $2499 Delivered @ Rio Sound & Vision

80

Not for everyone but makes a change from all the Chinese made teevees.
Originally priced at $4,999, then $3,799 (according to my email)
Made in Germany and now at a realistic price of just $2,499 but very limited stock
New 2022 model, gets a rating of 4.5
Appears to have express free shipping to most places
Click and Collect from their Preston or Hampton stores

NOTE: "Halloween" 10% off coupon code will not work
I tried the Spin the Wheel thingy that pops out from the left after a while and won a 5% off code which did work, bringing the price down to $2,374.05, so give it a go (I used a random email). The code was 8tg67uygh and might be a generic one.

I know Loewe tv's back in the days were crazy expensive (5 figures expensive) but afaik they were never the top performing.

Seems like they're using LG panels.

    • They were phenomenal TVs back in the CRT days.

Now days I’m not sure. They’re still good TVs but not heads and shoulders above the competition that they used to be in terms of picture clarity

    • Though the panels do come from LG (all OLED panels do), they are made specifically to suit Loewe standards, to the point where they don't even get delivered to them in an LG box. Loewe have only used the bare minimum from the LG panels that they require, and the rest is all Loewe, all German :)

      • Also, while most OLED panels use Perspex screens, Loewe use glass - at an expense but provides a much better picture quality :)

why not SONY? worth to pay for Germany?

  • Does this have HDMI 2.1 and/or any HDMI/eRAC?

Ok wow so $2,500 for a barebone 4K 55" OLED TV? I guess the 2x40W speakers played a big part in the price inflation?

    • It's a 2017 model. Decent TV's the Loewe (German for lion). I had one 20 years ago. On reflection it wasn't any better than Sony or Panasonic at the time.

      • The original Bild 3.55 was a 2017 release, however they have since released a second version of this TV at the beginning of 2022 which has faster processing, new chassis, and improved soundbar :)

Considering LG and Sony have been the top best selling/spec wise OLEDs you would have to be crazy to buy this

How on earth did you come to that conclusion?

        • +2

Sadly, From my experiences, people who so easily play the race card themselves harbour a lot of racist attitudes

    • Loewe still have the best free to air tuners on the market, and realistically they are built to last. I have to say, though it may sound bias, we have sent clients who come into our stores back to places that sell the LG, Sony, and the rest, to compare (we have a large mass market store directly opposite our showroom), and a large majority of them come back to us and purchase a Loewe because of the picture quality overall, the sound quality, and the quality of free to air TV they receive (which the others simply can't compete with). Ultimately it comes down to personal preference, but the Loewe customer generally does prefer overall quality and reliability, and are happy to pay a little bit extra for that :)

      • ACL protects the Australian buyer anyway..
        FTA turner lol really
Sound most people get a soundbar or hifi anyway
        Very very bias indeed
I'm sure they pay extra to get less

        • Rubbish….Loewe have always had the best picture…much better than the yum cha brands out there
Best testing tool is to see one your self

          • @SR: Weird rtings seems to think otherwise 🤷

        • Turner? I'm sure you mean tuner :)
Nevertheless, why pay extra for a soundbar when the TV has one built in?

      op seems associated

I have no association with Loewe or Rio; I got an email from Rio about the deal and tried to include as much relevant information as possible in my post

  • is the screen panel made from LG or Samsung China factory?

    • +1

Cynora OLED panels are made in Germany.
