C2 Display Larger than Windows

Does anyone know what to do to make Windows 11 fit the screen on the LG C2?

I know I used the info from Reddit last time but can't seem to work out how to do it this time and it is driving me nuts.

Hoping the fact 90% of OZB owns a OLED, someone might know off the top of their head.

What's wrong with it currently? Can you take a picture? How do you have it connected? HDMI?

Look through the tv settings to see if there is any way to change resolution i.e. fit, widescreen etc

On windows, right click on desktop -> display settings, see if you can set it to a better resolution.

    • For some insane reason, many televisions have their default setting being to crop whatever image it is they show. This often has to be manually turned off, or else you simply see less image that you are supposed to

  • It might help if you had a picture of the issue.
Your question doesn't have enough detail, so I'm not sure what the issue is or how to help.

  • Connected via HDMI, Windows is about half a start bar the whole way around bigger than the display. I can't really show it in a photo, but I can't see half the start bar or 3/4 of the title bar of apps in full screen.
Set to normal 3840 x 2160 in windows.
Had this same problem on my laptop when I got the TV. I thought I used that link and CRU to fix it but for the life of me I can't work it out now.

Settings -> Picture Settings -> Aspect Ratio -> Just Scan

      • Oh man! How did I miss that.. I went through the manual twice and watched about an hour of YouTube..

        Thanks!

Don't forget to turn the TV to Game Mode and to disable the image sharpening, frame smoothening, and generally all post-processing effects in order to reduce input lag for gaming

          • @DiscountForThee: not gonna matter for Civ6 and heroes3 :)

            • @DamagedDingo: Fair that it won't affect game play, but it still has an effect on how responsive / laggy the mouse movement is. Not everyone notices, though, so you might be fine

              • @DiscountForThee: See when my new console comes but I think it changes automatically. On pc I only play turn based or point and click games from my bed and my computer struggles to even play those. Lol

“Just Scan” six the setting you need to enable on that particular HDMI input.

  • Whats the LG C2 Monitor like? must be yummy lolz

    • amazing for pc/desktop

    • It's very big. it doubles as my bedroom tv so I always planned to crop it down to something smaller, but so far I've just been using it as 6 smaller screens. been awesome to have all my main stuff up plus dev machines etc all at once. My first monitor and the first tv that's better than 1080p… I've been loving rewatching all the sci-fi and action shows that were so dark before.
My only complaints, I wish windows would scale text down to 75% because I sit so close, and I can't do picture by picture with 2 HDMI even though people were doing that before with this model. there is also a mildly annoying dimming thing going on but I can live with it so far.

now if my ps5 would hurry up…
