[VIC] Emergency Payments for Flood-Affected Victorians ($560 Per Adult and $280 Per Child)

Didn't think it qualified as a bargain, but if you've been affected by the recent floods in Victoria, then chances are you can apply for the payments.

The one-off payment is to help residents and their household to meet "immediate and essential needs" like emergency shelter, food, clothing or personal items.
The Victorian government said the payment is not available for damage caused by construction or building works, business losses, car repairs, compensation for the loss of income, paying insurance excess or loss from power outages.

The one-off payments are $560 per adult and $280 per child - a maximum of just over $2000 per family.

Why does the link look so dodgy (not saying it isn't legit)

  • Isn’t it the standard is already set by NSW at $1000 per adult.
