I don't know whether this is a really good deal or not, as I never purchase Bananas, though it looks pretty cheap.

It is impossible to read the fine print at the bottom of the picture, though here is what we know:

  1. Since the deal was posted on the Sunshine Plaza Facebook page, it is definitely happening at that store.
  2. The bottom of the poster says 'Also available at Bi-Lo and Pick N Pay', so the promotion is happening at multiple stores
  3. The offer is valid Thursday the 21st of June and Friday the 22nd of June

    State wide AFAIK. They were 89c/kg at the Rising Sun coles in Townsville too.

    these were the same price at coles rosny, Tasmania when i was there earlier today
    also woolworths catalouge in mailbox advertised bananas 99c / kilo

    Recently have been buying bananas at Aldi, where $1.99 a kg is cheaper than pretty much everywhere, so this is a very good price.

    Bought bananas for 48c/kg at Woolies a few weeks back (were just ripe). Probably an over-supply at that (Morningside, Brissie) store. There are cheap bananas out there.
