RBA says OSKO had a nationwide outage last Wednesday night.
Waiting on payment from some sales on fb marketplace worth a few hundred.
6 days later, the buyers haven't had the money bounce and the funds haven't come through
What can we do about this? Is there any recourse?
Both Westpac and bankwest have notices stating not to reprocess and just wait til they clear the backlog.

did Osko have 2 outages? didn't they have one on Friday night as well?
Only read about the one outage but I had a payment Friday afternoon take two days to come through
yeah thats what i thought.. i knew of the outage on Friday because i was expecting a payment from someone and took a couple of days to come through
Same, I think there was an outage on Friday too, but it was like "hidden" as a continuance of the original issue.
It might have been the reversing of whatever software patch they introduced?

I had two that got on the night of the outage, but they came through the next afternoon. During the almost-24 hour delay, I noticed that the transaction from the originating account said "processing" the whole time.

I don't mean to sound cynical, but are you sure the buyers are not taking advantage of the situation and just keeping the money (after bouncing or something)?
I'm waiting on an Osko transfer to Citibank which was sent on the 12th… Apparently they advised it will take up to the 21st to resolve.

I called up my bank as I was waiting for payment from last Wednesday. They told their team are processing the payments but it will take few days as there are lot of transactions and also confirmed they can see my incoming payment. So it might be a week but you can call them up to enquire.
Might just have to wait and see. I find that smaller amounts (eg. less than $50) come through in just minutes, but several hundreds take a few days.
For this reason, when I sell on FB market place, I'll accept payid up to that magical $50-$60. Anything over is cash only - unnecessary anxiety (possibly like you're experiencing) while seeing if funds will or won't clear etc.
