Hey Folks,

Hope everyone is enjoying October :)

We're super excited to be adding a new roaster to our lineup - Atypical Coffee!

Born in Melbourne, it's a new roaster focused on creating coffee specifically for home machines. The team includes members who have roasted for AXIL - the home of the new World Barista Champion!

You'll notice that things are a bit different as the coffee is packed in a steel can - making it super durable and easy to recycle. It also just looks cool :)

For those curious, the cans also come with a lid so you can reseal them.

We're starting by shining a light on their Candid blend. With Brazilian and Colombian components it's best suited for a milk drink, while still being balanced and sweet enough to be drunk black as well. For a reference point, you'll enjoy this if you also enjoy AXIL Heavyweight Blend, Code Black E.W. Blend, Pillar Wayward Blend and Proud Mary Humbler blend.

    Just curious, how does the coffee degas? Is there a 1 way valve on the can? Are the cans resealable?

      Great questions! These cans don't have a valve on them. They've experimented with valves and not having valves and haven't seen a noticeable difference in the quality of the coffee. Oh yes, I should have mentioned that the cans come with a lid! I'll update the description now :)
