My Docking Station Doesn't Have PD. Is There a Device That Can Add PD to Its Output?

Does something like this exist? Would prefer to have something like this if it's possible/exists, rather than buy a new dock.

  • Maybe a dock that has pd passthrough?

  • If you want something that you plug into Mains and that powers the laptop while you're using the dock, wouldn't something like this be the ticket? Usually there would have been one in the bottom of the box from when you bought the laptop.

(Not even just being a smartalec: I do this exact thing with my dock setup.)

Yeah that's what I'm currently doing, but since my laptop can charge through its USB C port, I would prefer if I could connect to the dock and charge the laptop through the one cable.

  • I've been using one of these with pretty good results, but not sure if it will do multiple screens: https://www.amazon.com.au/Cable-Matters-Multiport-DisplayPor…

What docking station do you currently have?

    • Lol. Another hub is the answer

  • What’s your application? mac/windows? Any other ports you have available in your laptop for charging? a/c adaptor? Lot of unknowns…

From brief description of yours I’d rather go with power adaptor for laptop than using a passthrough secondary dock (its just 1 more cable). Display signals can get messed up or be limited when sent through multiple docks.
