        • Thanks!

        • +1

Really? I thought chocolate version heaps more sugar

      • Gross.. coconut water should only be drunk in it's pure form

        • agreeing lol

    Ordered, cheers OP

$2.50 each at Coles this week, same price without S&S.

  • Serious question - Is there any health benefit for this or it's just refreshing?

    • +2

      just something tastes good

      • In addition to being naturally sweet and hydrating, coconut water is loaded with several important nutrients, including minerals that many people don’t get enough of.

        https://www.healthline.com/nutrition/coconut-water-benefits

A small bit of history: Coconuts were not grown in all parts of India in ancient times initially. Realising how beneficial coconut water is, sages titled it "Shreephal" or "God's fruit" (coconut is technically a fruit) and made it a part of the holy rituals - and soon it was planted and cultivated all over.

    • I think it just depend on one's taste.
I also not very enjoyed it but I'm having it during the summer season occasionally.
However, almost my friends are really hate this.
They are saying "It tastes like a tea towel washed water."

      • +2

It's an acquired taste. The first time I tried it I would have agreed with your friends, now I drink it almost every day.

      • +3

Try different brands, some are pretty mediocre at best, this one is pretty good.

    • It has health benefits claim here.

      https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/318394

    • Going on a tangent here - there’s no credible scientific evidence that coconut water hydrates any better than water

      • +1

Yeah but plain water dont have the extra stuff coconut water has.

It is a source of minerals, including potassium, magnesium, calcium and sodium.

        • Yep. As I said, I went on a tangent.

    • No

  • Still have several boxes from that $7.47 warehouse deal

  • +1

    $2.50/L at Woolies.

    • Just checked woolies website. Still says $5 for the 1 litre

      • Bought it this Wednesday. Not sure about the website.

        • I think the start of the new catalogue is every thursday.

          • @xoom: New catalogue starts every Wednesday and this week half price sale at Coles not Woolworths.
I bought last Wed 19th Oct night.

        • +1

          it is Coles not Woolies

          • @RichardF89: Thanks. Was planning my shopping for tomorrow. Looks like might have to to coles for these coconut water. I usually get 2 boxes

            • @xoom: Coles has all 3 flavours half price

              • @RichardF89: Not really keen on the other flavours. I just like coconut water as is.

    • +1

Raw C at Woolworths this week

    • Woolies was the other week. This week is Coles.

  • +1

Interested in watermelon or mango for this price

    • +1

Oh mango flavour! Never seen before at supermarkets near me.
My coles has only 3 flavours straight, chocolate, watermelon.

  • +2

Thanks OP, got one. Got it in previous amazon deal for $15 and love it. Nice drink esp during hot days. Cheers.

  • Anyone with medical background pls help me understand why is it that when I get an IV from ER, I feel so 'high'? Ie full of energy and is there a way to replicate it? Coconut water? Hydralyte?

    • Could be the dextrose?

      • What does dextrose have to do with it?

        • Dextrose is a sugar. Sugar gives people a high. A boost. A rush.

          • @xoom: ah, I think that need to be coupled with salt though to balance it out

            • +1

@PeeDee: I think it has it also. Them med people are smart like that. Saline is what they call it i think.

    • I don't have medical background but IV is much faster than take medicine, food or somethings because IV is direct.

      • Yeah, and since IV is just fluids basically, I wonder whether I need to take something more than water such as coconut water to get the similar effect as my responsiveness from IV may be indicating that I'm not drinking enough water…hmm…

    • The solution they give you is packed full of electrolytes. Plain water doesn’t hydrate you at all. It actually washes out your minerals and and makes you deficient. Get decent quality electrolytes, add them to water and use instead of plain water for a week to see how much better you’ll feel. Especially if you’re exercising.

      • Do you have back up for your claims that water doesn't hydrate you and washes out minerals?

      • Agree, most people know water hydrates, and should drink 2L per day or more if exercising.
sugar water is the same as those expensive colourful tubs of stuff.

  • Will my post man kill me if I order too much from amazon. I am literally getting a parcel everyday almost since 2 weeks.

    • He should thank you. You are keeping him employed.

      • Thats what I thought, but I stay a bit far from other houses, hope he isnt travelling till here just for my parcels :D

        • Im sure he got his trusty softdrinks bottle to pee in to keep up with the delivery schedule.

    • How many orders have you made this year?

      • I just moved to far north, need lots of stuff. Over 15 orders in the last month but each order come in multiple posts depending on the item location. Thats only amazon. Maybe few more on ebay and other places.

        • +1

Postman probably hates me more, I have 420 orders this year so far

    • nope, you are creating jobs.

    • You can only order 6 max, so thats just 36kgs worth of coconut water. Give it a try and see if you still get stuff delivered in 2 weeks time.

      • I got the S2000Mkiii delivered, so probably this should ;)

  • OOS

  • Watermelon

  • How long after expiry are these ok to consume?

    • put them in the fridge and they will last way longer.. its a best before date so 1-2 months max… not much fat in these so wont go rancid.. you should be fine

  • +1

    Back in stock.

  • I love the chocolate one

  • +1

FYI, if someone want to buy bulk amount and you are in coles 10,000points/$X0 spend for 4weeks bonus offer.

Coles is much cheaper than S&S.

    I'm on the 10,000points/$60 spend 4weeks.
Total spent $240 and I will received 10240 points total.
    10240 point = $51.2 so ÷4 when you spent $60 you received $12.8 it is 21.3% discount.
If you're in $50 spend for 4 weeks, it will be 25.5% discount.

And you can buy chocolate & watermelon flavour same price.

    • These would only be on special for one week at Coles.
Those offers are ok, but hard finding $50 amount of stuff 4 weeks in a row, especially when there aren't any good specials on. Alright if you shop there every time anyway but I go several places.

  • Everytime I drink a glassful of this it makes me sleepy lol. Is this normal?

    • +2

Have you had your blood sugar checked?

  • These are good, got 2x 6 last deal= $2.25ea.

  • Honestly it's pretty awful! Little more than water.

  • +1

    These taste the best…

  • Fun fact: it you need blood plasma you can hook this up to a drip and take it intravenously. Coconut water was used for blood plasma during WW2, or something like that

    • +1

Instructions unclear. Did a bear grylls on the coconut water.
