Will this give access to NRMA ev chargers for free?

    • Only 20% off rates at Chargefox network chargers. NRMA labelled chargers are still free for the public.

  • +2

Does the ampol offer stack with woolies discount?

    • +1

Hopefully. Will give it a go.

    • Wonder if it stacks with Toyota diacount

    • Looked into it this morning before going to fuel-up, and it states in the NRMA terms and conditions "cannot be used in conjunction with any other fuel discount or loyalty offer."
Will stick to 4c WW discount, as it is only 3c discount for regular fuel with NRMA.

  • Thank you OP.

  • +1

Cheers. Should get some benefit out of this.

  • For those having issues last night, it worked fine first go for me this morning.

  • Worked after 3 times for me, thanks!

  • Not working for me

    • Working now randomly after trying multiple times

  • Hey guys, dumb question but I've just bought my first car and insured with Budget Direct. Am I still able to register and use NRMA Blue and get those fuel discounts? I've just signed up and downloaded the app, but it all seems too be good to be true :)

Only explaination that would make sense is if this has nothing to do with car insurance and is a separate membership that just gives you perks.

    • +2

      Your last sentence is correct.
NRMA is a "motoring club" that provides benefits to its members.

There is also NRMA insurance which competes with other insurers such as Budget Direct etc etc.
You don't have to have insurance with NRMA in order to be a member of the NRMA "club". But you do get discounts on your NRMA insurance if you are a "club" member.

      • Thank you so much for the clarification. I was 70% sure that's how it worked haha. Cheers

        • +3

Now you can be 98% sure.
Leave 2% of uncertainty because you can't always trust what others says on the internet…. ;-)

          • @clintdb: LOL fair enough, thanks. Looking forward to the free fuel. The chopper isn't as good these days compared to the savings it used to give.

            Edit: It's only 3c discount :/

  • Is NRMA deliberately enabling and pausing subscriptions every couple of hours?

I just got my NRMA blue membership but got the usual 'Deal Expired' error all through yesterday.

I'd suggest people who couldn't get it to keep trying.

  • Working again!

  • It didn't work for me after opening the page several times and also using incgonito mode.
What worked was just shutting down the whole browser and following the email link freshly.
I was able to sign up just now, 9:29 am, 26-10.

  • Just signed up at 9:38 am. Thanks OP!

  • Just signed up.
First try said expired. Closed and reopened the page and it worked. so just give it a few trys if need be. Cheers!

  • Yesterday: Refreshed 100 times no go laptop andmobile multiple browsers and incognito modes
    Today: mobile first try worked

  • Just signed up first try, very fast confirmation.

  • +1

They don't do car insurance in VIC, right?

    • +2

Yes. I mean no. I mean they don't cover VIC :)

      • +1

I wish I knew that. Otherwise, I wouldn't have gotten the free membership. I feel cheated.

  • I signed up free a year ago. I was automatically renewed free again for the second year.

  • I get that free is good on ozb but why would anyone pay 60 bucks for this?

Just downloaded the app. Can anyone think of anything of value worth using? Maybe if you lived really close to a participating ampol?

    • +1

Can you stack the Ampol discount with Woolies Everyday Rewards 4 cents discount and pay with an egiftcard? I am not sure if Ampol accepts Wish egift cards.

      • Still, at a 3 cent per litre discount you would need to fill up 2000 litres to break even with that $60.

  • i just signed up but got no confirmation email

    • Give it some time or you can just download their app
Login using the Otp-mobile number technique…
That’ll initiate the signup process right away.

  • Thanks OP

  • Is this just for nsw.

  • failed 30+ times yesterday, now works

  • Last time, I got 6 months free member by facebook ad and now they are saying that you have to $30 because they can not cancel and sent me that msg.

Please read the following terms and conditions that states there is a minimum of $30 charged for this subscription.

    https://www.mynrma.com.au/general-conditions/bluetrail-blueo…

I am not able to cancel before the end of the 12 month subscription. Would you like me to stop this subscription from renewing?

    • +1

How do they charge you as I didn't have to enter any payment/cc details?

      • Not this time, I joined 4 or 5 months ago, and now I want to cancel and they sent me that msg.

    • +1

Hey @Avi001 , Sorry there has been some confusion. Whilst we generally do not offer mid-term cancellations as our subscriptions are 12 monthly, we do have a 6 month free trial offer for NRMA Blue, that does allow users to cancel with no payment required if they decide they would like to cancel within the first 6 months. We can definitely help look into this further and cancel the coverage for you if you've decided this was not the right option for you. Feel free to reach out via: facebook.com/mynrma so we can help.

  • Took a while to receive the confirmation but still working.

  • just got my confirmation email. Are the restaurants with 20% off worth it??

  • Thanks!! Just signed up

  • thank you op, signed up

  • Thanks, just signed up.

  • Thanks OP…signed up no props just now. Waiting for sms and email.

  • Thanks OP. Not sure if I need that or not but to keep the freebie OZBargain spirit

  • Just signed up with one go!

  • FYI just did right now, still working (8:20pm AEDT, 27/10)

  • I've upvoted this, but note that "Up to 5c per litre off at Ampol" means it's only 3c for "regular fuel". The 5c off is for "Premium fuel" only. The "My Toyota" app is better (if you're eligible) for fuel discounts—-it gives 4c off per litre at Ampol, and stacks with Woolworths' 4c off (after groceries shopping) and with the use of Ampol gift cards too.

  • Just signed up. Now waiting for the email/sms

    Thanks OP

EDIT: Got my email/sms and activated

  • Its a shame only valid at Ampol and not EG WW

  • Just signed up, no issues.

  • 6 months free now, but what a messy checkout. Very unclear until you actually checkout that you wont get charged anything until your 6 months are up. Only used for the cheap gold class tix

  • +1

received email to renew .. it's $60 annually … any renewal workaround?

    • I think somebody earlier mentioned signing up with a different email address.

      • Nope, doesn't work.

    • +1

Got that email too "You saved $11.50 this year, so please pay $60 now so you can save another $11.50 next year!"

  • how do you cancel? Do you need to call them up or just let it run out as I haven't provided any cc details

  • Has anyone notice they can still access the app after 12 months has expired? I just got another 10 cents off ampol deal x 3 and my nrma blue free membership expired last month.

  • Just received this, very nice of them :-)
