Best Outdoor TV (Located in High Glare Area) 65” under $2000

Hi all,

Looking to get a 65” TV mounted in an outdoor area (well shielded from any wind/rain/moisture in an alfresco like space)

It will be in an area where there is high glare, so whilst most tv’s will struggle, looking for one that will “struggle less”

Budget is $2000, but hoping with the upcoming sales I can land it under $1500

The only other requirement is for it to be “smart”, which 99% of TV are these days

Thanks!

  • Get a lower series one with a matte screen or get one with very high brightness

Samsung 6 series etc should still have matte screens

Moisture will still be an issue if it's outside unless you wrap it up in winter etc

Reading the title for second I thought you were after a TV with the MOST amount of glare possible, lol.

I went down the "ghetto outdoor TV" route a few years ago. It was in an under a covered space and this is the approach I took:

    1. I bought the brightest TV I could find within my budget at the time (it was an LG 55LM9600 IIRC)

    2. DIY-applied some 3M anti-glare film which cost about $70 on Amazon

    3. Attached it to the wall mount and, when it wasn't it use, protected it from dust/water/critters with a custom-made "TVKini" I ordered from the USA. It looks like that company disappeared, but the idea is similar to these —> https://tvcovers.com.au (they actually made a custom cover for the outdoor home theatre amp)

It performed flawlessly for close to eight years. Sold it with the house so I presume the new owners are using it now.

The 2022 version of the Samsung Frame TV would be within your price range. It has a matt finish and speaking from experience it deals with glare superbly.
