Walking home from the markets this morning, down one of our local side streets, and spotted a sign almost in the middle of the road. I went in for a look-see.

"Factory outlets" are a bit of a joke to the locals around here in South Sydney. Despite having them almost in our backyards, we tend to avoid them. Prices can be at or above RRP and most of them simply cater to the hoards of desperate housewives corralled through the doors by unscrupulous tour bus operators.

Having seen the sign I bravely ventured into the Surf, Dive & Ski shop. Their outlet prices are typically 25-45% off retail with some junk items up to 70% off.

Today was quite different. ALL clothing items (excl shoes and Tigerlilly brand) were $10.00ea, regardless of the tagged price. For the grand total of $110, I picked up:

Five pais of jeans (Volcom, Zoo York, Billabong)
Two jackets (Billabong & Insight) - the RRP on the tag of the Billabong jacket was $199.
Four t-shirts (mixed brands)

MrsOzDJ_ picked up a pile of womens' stuff (O'Neill, Rusty, Billabong etc) which I pretended to be interested in. ;-)

The outlet is located at 362 George Street, Waterloo (Google Maps link here http://is.gd/VF2JCT)

        I sometimes buy clothes at Kmart that's on clearance (around $5) and the material lately feels threadbare. I'd say brand name clothing if the material is quality for $10 is very good deal.

    The sign reads all clothing $10 (except Tigerlilly), what a bargain.
    You should go in and grab everything in the store for ten bucks. LOL

    Also available at the Windsor store, but that store name is RUSH and finishes tomorrow. The local store told me just those 2 stores for the $10 sale :(

    nice ; picked up $150 worth of stuff (6 shirts, 2 jackets, 1 sunnies, 2 pairs of shoes)

    longboards are 50% off if anyones interested, mostly sector nine brand.

      Yeah, there's a lot remaining for the ladies, but the lads are pretty much out of luck, there was nothing to make it worth the trip out.

        This is spot on. Heaps of stuff left for the girls. Also if you go head out today, you should know that they still have alot of stuff boxed up which they have not unpacked yet. So you might still be able to grab a bargain but you will need to be very lucky. I got one of the last skateboards at 50% off. Good luck all

          Meh, it's 50% off the full retail price. I picked up a longboard for $150 that was marked as on sale for $299. I've never seen these boards that cheap anywhere else ever. Even the second hand boards on ebay usually sell for $100-$120 if not more. But there were only 3-4 boards left when I was there this morning.

    Yeah for guys it was pretty much boardshorts or t-shirts and jackets.
    There's about two rows for guys and about 10 for girls. :(

    Wow, I must have at least run into or brushed past some of you guys, I was there from about 10:30 until midday today :p
